Bradley 57,131 Posted July 20, 2021 Share Posted July 20, 2021 I can't tell if this is a movie made for the Oscars. It's got Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Ben Affleck and Jodie Comer. It seems like it's quite action-oriented (hence commercially oriented) at some parts but historical films like The Favourite have been nominated before, so I'm not exactly sure. Scott would need to think about which he submits for Best Director and Driver for Best Actor. But Driver seems to be supporting Damon in this film so he could simply submit this in Supporting and Gucci in Lead. Gaga, on the other hand, is very much unaffected. As for Best Picture, yes I don't see the Academy nominating both Duel and Gucci but I think the critics and GP are way more interested in Gucci if you ask me.
