yes but the deaths have hardly increased. whilst there's plenty of cases over here, the number with a serious outcome are much much lower than there was, say, in january.

Exactly, people keep talking about cases but the vaccines were mainly meant to prevent hospitalisations and deaths which is all we can ask for, and they are. Deaths have stayed low since the vaccine rollout, the current death rate is 0.3 per 100,000 people. Hopefully it stays that low.
