Shakira worked with Emily Warren and Ian Kirkpatrick who co-wrote Dua's "Don't Start Now"

Ooh so we’re in for a BOP bop then!!

ugh is this gonna be another english album :selena:

Her last album was Spanish, so it makes sense. Hopefully she'll do a mega tour, she hasn't come to my city in over a decade :air:

Every time she makes an English album it literally flops. She also has this more mainstream sound in English which is usually more generic sounding

I think "flops" is a little dramatic. Shakira has traditionally charted very well on the Dance/Club charts, and has had decent radio support. On the major charts, her English-language records haven't always smashed, but they've done better than "flopped"

Laundry Service: Album peaked at #3, #11 on 2002 year-end chart, and produced the Top 10 hits "Whenever, Wherever" (#3) and "Underneath Your Clothes" (#6)

Oral Fixation Vol. 2: Album peaked at #5, #23 on 2006 year-end chart, and produced a BB Hot 100 #1 single ("Hips Don't Lie")

She Wolf: Album peaked at #15, but produced two Top 40 songs in the U.S. ("She Wolf" at #11 and "Give it Up to Me" at #29)

Shakira: Album peaked at #2, and produced a Top 20 hit ("Can't Remember to Forget You" at #15) with "Empire" and "Dare (La La La)" charting at #58 and #53, respectively.

I hope it's gonna be both languages. When they teased a new album around Super Bowl, wasn't it said that it would be both languages? Or did they scrap that album?

even she doesn't know. She once said she prefers to share songs with her fans after she records them. Her latest album wasn't ready while she released Chantaje. Next album is scheduled for 2022, she will still recording and releasing new songs during this and next year.

Levine

It sounds good and I can't wait.

But I HATE people (rich people) who don't pay taxes, like I hate them with all my heart.

So I don't know what to do? :( This actually makes me sad, I swear.

Oh I didn't even realize the thread been updated to the new confirmed title and artwork of the single.

I really hope it's a dual release in english and spanish.. :( but you never know in the streaming era where artists want to maximize streams to just 1 song.
