I watched Pulp Fiction once years ago and didn't really like it, but I was very tired and not in the mood so I might need to give it another go.

Also in the same vain I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was like 15 and didn't like it... but again, wrong circumstances. I was an internally homophobic, terrified, closeted little gay back then, watching it with my mum and friend, so I think I definitely need to rewatch it as the fabulous ***g*t I am now as an adult :laughga:

oh rocky horror is like… bad. it’s great but it’s like a so bad it’s good sort of thing

Movies that I really didn't like or even hated?

Suspiria (the original one) - just a mess from beginning to end, I can't believe it's considered a masterpiece

The Godfather, so long and boring, if you want to make a movie about the mafia, make it interesting like Scorsese

The Big Lebowski, the Coen Brothers are a hit or a miss for me and this one was a big miss.

The Graduate, so boring

La Dolce Vita, boring

La Haine, really not my style

Movies I don't hate but that I think are overrated: (there are a lot)

Most of Kubrick's movies, most of Hitchcock's movies, The King's Speech (what's with all these Oscars?), Moonlight, The Favourite, No Country for Old Men, Sunset Boulevard, Parasite, The Deer Hunter, Memories of Murder, La La Land, Blade Runner, Perfect Blue, Brazil, there are a lot more but I have a list of 1000+ movies to go through, these are the main ones :huntyga:

Wait, what do you like?

If you didn't write this to be controversial, you're wasting your time watching films honestly wth...

Rango, idk if it's critically acclaimed but it is the one movie I remember watching as a child and thinking that it was literally the most boring thing I have ever watched

Its really cool but has slow pace

i remember both loving it and taking 3 DAYS to finish it

As a movie buff, I just watch a lot of movies  That's not even a long list if you consider that, and the list of movies I like is way longer.

Favorite movies: Black Swan (and I love most of Aronofsky's movies), Spirited Away (and most of Miyazaki's movies are up there too), Mommy (and Dolan's movies in general), The Night of the Hunter, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Kill Bill (and Tarantino's movies in general), Sunrise, Blue is the warmest color, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Paprika

Then movies I really liked in no particular order: Get Out, Whiplash, Raise the red lantern (and Zhang Yimou's movies in general), The Lobster, Abre los ojos, 3 Billboards, All about Eve (and Mankiewicz's movies in general), Old Boy, Seppuku, Persona, His Girl Friday, The General (Buster Keaton's movies too), Paris, Texas, many Scorsese's movies especially Shutter Island and Goodfellas, Pan's Labyrinth, the Cornetto trilogy, M, Grave of the Fireflies, Silence of the Lambs

I can go on and on, I have a list of 62 pages of movies I watched and only went through 6 of them, I think these are the main ones.

Oh I can definitely get behind that! I still watch Drag Race on the Rusical episodes don't I? :stalkga:

Also the guy who wrote it, Richard O'brien, is from my city and there's a statue of him in the town centre... so I should probably see what the fuss is about :laughga:

The book made more sense but Simon was more annoying too :sis:

But I love the love simon inspired series though.

Love, Victor

It's a nuanced take, it's still a teenage angsty drama but so much better.

Not really „despise” but Nomadland was the worst Oscar winner in YEARS. This movie was pointless

...has anybody seen my disco stick?
