Were you obsessed with Gaga at some point?

Definitely I was obsessed with Gaga between 2009 and 2014. I was in my teen years so I actually had time to focus on her. Then I started college and got my first formal job and somehow I had other things to think about and to be focused on, so I guess being more mature naturally made me get over this obsession.

I still think/feel I'm a HUGE Gaga fan, to the point people tag me on Gaga memes and Gaga news on social media and send me Gaga related stuff they see on TV, etc. I just feel like being an adult made me focus on other things and now I just see Gaga as an amazing artist/human being that I admire so much, but I definitely wouldn't spend hours and hours watching interviews, pictures, etc., of her.

The whole fanbase has moved on from that, I think, mainly because us fans now actually know her and her mysterious persona disappeared, which is what had me looking for every detail I could find online about her. It's like on her early days she wasn't human, she was like this mysterious/interesting being that I had to decipher and get to understand. Naturally, she revealed herself to us and now it's like I know she's a wonderful human being that I admire and deeply respect.

I'm still watching her every single move and keep an eye on news about her. It's just different now because I don't feel like I do this because I need to satisfy myself, but because I admire and respect her.

I do miss those days, though... honestly the happiest days of my life. Nostalgia hits hard whenever I see things that make me relieve the TF, TFM, BTW and ARTPOP eras. I honestly think you don't get to understand the whole Gaga experience if you didn't personally get to live those eras. It was truly glorious seeing her "become human" in front of our eyes, after years of her presenting herself as such a mysterious being.

So true. Her "coming out" as a human being actually made me less transfixed with Lady Gaga and I really came to love Stefani. Such a complex love for this woman!

I know, right? And I still don't think I have actually got to see who Stefani is either, because there's still some mystery around Gaga. It's just that now I understand there's a human behind all of that, and getting to experience this transformation at the same time she experienced it, is something I will treasure my whole life.

Right she's so layered. There's like the "Gaga" version of Stefani she lets us see and then there's the real Stefani :ally:

Definitely from late 2008 (when Poker Face first came out) until around right after C2C was released, I was legit obsessed with this bitch. But then I started a “real” job after college and now I’m definitely not OBSESSED obsessed like I was before, well, becoming a real adult lol

but I’m still a huge stan and I still follow her moved as much as I can, seeing as I’m in this ****ing forum almost every day lmao

I remember seeing the 2008 Miss Universe performance and thinking she reminded me of Kylie Minogue and Roisin Murphy. It was before The Fame came out but I checked her MySpace page daily for updates. Then eventually the fan page wars happened. I always thought lady-gaga.net was more concise b u t she mentioned gagadaily as her favorite fansite so here we are.

I honestly think I've been "obsessed" for almost 13 years. Nothing and no one keeps me as endlessly enthralled and emotionally enriched.

Do you remember when literally almost every week in 2009 she had a few new acoustic performances?

Were? :ally:

But yeah, I really was too into her. She's become part of my life, even if I haven't met her. I'm less obsessed but she truly has had an impact.

Her impact I guess.

I was never really a stan, but my peak as a fan was probably during The Fame / The Fame Monster (2009); a second one would probably be during the Chromatica era, in 2020.

Yes, 2009-2013

My peak stanning was early ARTPOP era and then when everything dissolves, and lots of plans are cancelled, among other things, I slowly got lost interest too. Then reignited with the artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball. And then, it's over.

Luckily there were C2C era right afterwards, which to me greatly help to soften the blow. I appreciate this era too, but my stanning level will never be the same.

Yeah, definitely. Like many others the ARTPOP era was a wild ride. Staying up to see performances etc. Now I have a more I would say healthy relationship and a more I'll see it when I'll see attitude

She knew how to hustle and deliver. Even with all their little errors that imo just give them more character, those performances are still top notch.
