In my mind I was already picturing her doing the Chromatica tour as a kind of final goodbye before retiring into motherhood for 5-10 years...   But covid shut the door on Cromatica so who knows what her plans are!

All I know is that after 35 it becomes risky to have kids so it's gonna happen very soon

Last year when Chromatica and the Chromatca Ball were all announced so close together, and it was clear the era was going to be a short one, that is kinda what I thought as well. It seems that this era was supposed to be her last big pop era for a few years so she can settle down and start a family. Obviously this is just my speculations though

I mean, we know she's very creative and is always writing music, I just don't think she is making music, like I don't think she is currently focused on a project, like an actual album or something.

She’s releasing a jazz album this year, so the next viable year would be 2023 at the earliest, unfortunately

She seems like the type of artist to always be ready to go when inspiration hits, didn't she come up with parts of 'The Queen' one night in her hotel room and write 'Just dance' in minutes? So I guess she's kind of always working on new music in that way.

I wouldn't be surprised if she has a huge collection of unreleased/unfinished songs too, some of which might make it onto the next album.

Honestly I feel like she’s over music for now, after the way she treated the Chromatica “era”. After Gucci and Love for Sale I think she’s going to take a much deserved break (9 albums in 13 years omg) and maybe she wants to start a family ? 
 

so to answer the OP, I don’t think she’s writing that much right now (because as I said she’s kinda over music imo) but she’s a very creative person so I wouldn’t be surprised if she writes from time to time. But we’re not getting LG7 any time soon imo (2024 at the very earliest, and I would not be surprised if it was 2025 / 2026).

Well especially after the recent DJWS stories about how they’re always working and they’re working on music between ASIB and Chromatica and nobody was really aware of it…. I guess she’s really always recording new music unpretentiously and eventually it turns out to become a whole new body of work and sometimes it just ends there

She's constantly writing music, whether she'll release it as her next album is another question entirely, however, I don't doubt that she's working on stuff now.
