Eido 3,676
I don't... Coming out as non binary compared to coming out as gay or lesbian or trans is, I believe, completely different. So saying "most people have been wonderful and that's the reality of coming out" is not true. Most people don't care that you change your pronouns to they/them (except for the part where you have to be careful of the pronouns you use)

Maybe Demi's friends are capable of doing that unlike some people 21 minutes ago, funkyhaus said: Right? Sneaky Oliver 22,236
Demi is trying so hard to make their statement seem very significant when it’s not. They will never know what to feels like to come out while you’re scared to be kicked out from your house and be hated from your family. They should at least acknowledge how privileged they are and how it impacts and changes the whole thing

Summerboi14 807
I bet "The Kind Of Lover I Am" was made/written after they realised they are non-binary.

Just because some people have it harder it doesn’t erase or minimize Demi’s experience. That may sound shocking and outrageous but sometimes it’s not about THE GAYYYYSSS. Coming out isn't wonderful for most people and that's definitely not the reality for MANY of us, myself included. Demi is in a position of privilege and they definitely do not speak for most of us and our experiences. Soft, soothing, and succulent
