Widow’s drag child:

I’m assuming they know more than us about the situation, but also, they are Widow’s drag child so they could also just be taking Widow’s side. I’m conflicted about this. Either way, I hope the victim has a speedy recovery and that the truth eventually comes out.

She chose violence when she could have had him removed. She is In the wrong and her only defense is to pull out the “I’m black, I’m the victim” Ideal. No- you resorted to violence- and to an extreme. She should never be allowed on drag race again.

Exactly. What’s funny people are saying we’re waiting for the truth, when we have footage of Widow herself justifying her violence, not denying anything. What more do people want. I may believe her that indeed her privacy was violated and that the guy refused to leave, but sis 911 is literally a call away, get your phone out, do the logical thing. It’s obvious that she purposely wanted to resort to violence. Both of them should be held accountable tbh, if after inspection the guy turned out to have actually violated her grounds then he shouldn’t be off the hook, and if he is, only then can we say perhaps race played a role.

This. Like why is she talking about being black and privilege? You chose to beat his ass and that's why they arrested you.

I love her, but after her season I noticed immediatly that the fans' comments got on her brain and several times I been worried for her, just a feeling don't know why.

I hope she can find peace and clarify all this mess because she's amazing.

Wow, going to wait for more info because obviously some part of the story is being left out. You don't just go from asking someone to leave to Beating, Strangling, Dragging them across the floor and knocking them out...

This makes no logical sense. Why was she mad that her boyfriend was there? What did she want to do and why did she not want him there?

Wow this really is just horrible. I truly hope the victim is able to make a full recovery and this is able to be investigated. I would refrain from ever using TMZ as a source however, considering they have two things already wrong in the article that I can point out. Also please, I really don’t think we should go down the road of “they should have called the police” especially after everything that happened this past year.

We should all know by now the incredible insecurity black Americans face when involving the police and the possibility of the situation getting worse.

Of course be against violence 100%. You can even be 100% against her. But bringing up the police with this is looking at the whole thing in an idealized way, which is not really a reality for many people.

This is the live:

This is what Widow said while she was getting arrested:

Oh you asked him to leave your house 5 times and he didn't so you beat him to a pulp? Why didn't you say that sooner? It must be justified then. I lost brain cells listening to that :ladyhaha:

First off, nobody here knows what really happened so a lot of the comments here are coming off incredibly ignorant... as a black gay man who has been through a similar situation, you don’t know what you will do until it happens to you... I was raised to defend myself when needed and have had to do so against a person in my house against my will... even after asking him to leave many times I kept my cool, but after he attacked me, I went off and we had a physical altercation... not to the point where anyone was seriously hurt, but he did show physical signs of the struggle afterward because I defended myself and was taught how to fight... the melanin in my skin helped to hide my bruises and scratches and because of that, I was arrested and taken to jail overnight... could I have called the police? Probably, but dealing with police isn’t really the same  for a black person especially in a small rural town that is majority Caucasian... why is it ok to just assume that just because someone defended themselves in their own home, that they are problematic... maybe it was taken too far, but we don’t know what actually was going on unless you were there... all we know is another black man was arrested by cops for defending himself in his own home... until we have all the details, let’s try not to pass judgement

Ok if we assume she’s being truthful and the guy in fact did crash her house uninvited. The logical thing to do is call the cops and file a case of invasion against him. There are laws for a reason, you don’t jump to violence to the extent of mutilating someone’s face/head.

I am not justifying her actions, but POC (especially black people) can't just comfortably call the cops without having to fear being killed. I get why she didn't call the police.

What's the curse? I don't follow Drag Race religiously (please forgive me for that crime )

Trigger warning: sexually predatory behavior

Spoiler

Sherry P*e, a finalist of season 12, was disqualified right before the season actually started airing because multiple people came out sharing that they got catfished by her. Like, not the kind of catfishing where you pretend to be a different person to get into a relationship, but pretending to be a talent scout for major acting roles. She collected tapes of sexual content of her victims, under the disguise of needing them for auditions. Her victims passed on multiple other opportunities because Sherry promised them major roles. She even went so far as to send steroids to her victims, promising them better results at auditions.

Sherry also confirmed all of this herself, after she was exposed. :smh:

Also, they filmed the season before the pandemic and it started airing right when the pandemic started. None of the queens could profit off of their appearance in the form of live shows and tours, which usually balance their bank accounts, after the initial investment in costumes for the show.

Which, all in all, is a shame because the season has one of the strongest casts ever and episodes ever, but the curse just keeps on unfolding. :emma:
