But if the Chromatica Ball happens people better be rocking bejeweled masks, it's a great fashion piece now

Really hope that they now focus on helping poorer countries, who didnt have the money to buy as many vaccines. We need to continue fighting together against this virus, or else a new mutation will have us in lockdown again.

Well, we still have an issue with vaccination in the US. It's not looking like enough people will actually get the shots to achieve herd immunity so they need to shift gears to outreach programs to convince more folks to get their doses.

So weird (but nice!) to see people not wearing masks responsibily. :vegas: I'm so glad this pandemic is nearly over.

and that’s why the EU needs to delete their waiver support and provide the tech and know-how to other countries ASAP

I believe the US is going to do this, Biden came out in support of waving the patents for the vaccines so they could be distributed to anyone in the world.

Why do people expect the US to help other countries? That responsibility should fall on the UN not the US.

It's kinda been our M.O. since the last world war. That being said, hopefully all countries with a surplus are helping out their neighbors

Because its the richest country on earth and we have access to produce lots of vaccines (we already have a large surplus at this current rate). Not to mention that if the US gov wants to continue to pretend to be the global superpower then its time for the country to step up when it's actually needed.

the US loves to meddle in everyone's business (see Middle East). the least they can do after bombing countries down is help them out with a global health crisis

yes they are but it needs to be unanimous, and u til then, his support translates to nothing. hope he pushes others around to follow suit - there’s already internal pressure tho so that’s good

They might be negotiating with the companies so that they aren't left flat-footed, hopefully we'll have something by the end of next week.
