The UK has mostly been a voice of reason in the EU. Opposing too much integration being aware of how politics is. Now you have multiple far right leaders in the EU who have a vote on things like having one combined army etc? That doesn’t seem like a good idea to me It opposed open borders thankfully. We may have the odd terror attack but it could’ve been worse and we could have been like France where they have one every other week. That is not propaganda! Italian law forces seized that doses as they were not reported and where ready to be taken to UK without letting Italian institutions know that they exist, that they are produced, etc... How do you call that?

The UK taxpayer invested heavily into creating a vaccine that it is now selling at COST. The UK is also a key member paying into COVAX, a programme that is supplying poorer countries with a vaccine... the vaccine of choice? AstraZeneca, and it’s being given to 97% of people in these poorer countries. The UK has been supplying the commonwealth with vaccines via COVAX and stepped in when the EU decided to ban exports to Australia. The EU signed its deal late and tried to barter with a company offering them a vaccine at cost. It then found out because of it playing stupid games, it was at the back of the queue and signed a weaker deal than other countries. The EU should be happy it received a single vaccine after its members tried to rubbish it over politics.

Most of the things you have been saying are not true, and completely biased and made up. And regarding your last comment about opposing “open borders thankfully”, let’s see when you don’t have the cheap manual labour that came from EU immigrants. Then you will want open borders because these are the jobs that none of the English people want to do, like fruit picking or factory working. OP: as for Macron’s small di*k energy comment, it’s just tasteless and completely inappropriate from a government official to say something like that, but not unexpected from such a low standards government. And I honestly would take a Macrons’ French baguette over BoJo gamon-looking English sausage any day of the week.

UK is hardly seen as friendly country and even with vaccine program they tricked the EU by buying doses originally intended for EU by offering higher prices. Later they tried to smuggle Astra Zeneca doses from Italy. Unfortunately you've misunderstood that story quite a bit. The AstraZeneca vaccine bust in Italy was investigated further and not found to be linked to the UK (hence why the story died suddenly). Oddly enough, the final destination for those vaccines was hinted at being Belgium. I feel the media are responsible for causing a false UK vs. EU dispute that wasn't needed or true. When it comes to prices, it helps to realize that distribution, research and development will affect costs which do cause higher or lower prices. Similarly, you're attaching AZ to the UK government when they aren't the same thing.

I don’t oppose immigration, but having no borders and letting people just move around is not a good idea; see France. I mean threatening to cut off an island’s electricity is small d*** energy. It’s literally having a tantrum because your own fishermen couldn’t complete paperwork in time.

KORG 4,756
France threatened Jersey because France weren't allowed to break fishing laws. And the UK are suddenly the bad guys? Lmao The EU are crooked power hungry sycophants. Brexit wasn't smooth but there isn't a "good side" and a "bad side" like this thread suggests. The UK are looking out for their property and enforcing the law. There will be teething issues. The EU tried to restrict the rollout of a vaccine and caused a delay that may have resulted in thousands of deaths. Not sure how that makes them "good guys". Blueskye 1,087
The amount of absolute horsesh*t being spun by some of you in this thread to suit your anti-British narrative is really quite disturbing and I would go as far as to liken it to Trump’s sycophants lapping up everything he spews out. Oppose Boris and the Tories, but don’t act like France didn’t charge into this fishing situation guns blazing and the same with the EU regarding AstraZeneca. Try and be objective and not have a hard-on for hating GB. P.S. Scotland is part of a successful UK-wide vaccination program thanks to the current government. I’m not a Tory, always been Labour, but pull your heads out of your ar**es please.
