Listening to her I can just close my eyes and her voice takes me away. I personally prefer more this kind of thick, low and funky voice to a high belting, pitch perfect voice. So you quoted me for what; LMAOing your "everyone who dislikes Dua is misogyny" reply or that I actually complimented her for being way better vocalist than Katy? Idk and idc if she's better than those you mentioned, haven't spend time to watch their live vocals. Only your video proved her to be better than Katy so far. A good vocalist has a good technique, is able to do different things with their voice, does it in a healthy way, to me it's really about the technicality of it. Being able to hold a tune and control your voice is nice but yes, the more you can do, the better a vocalist you can be considered. Being a good singer is more about the artistry, do they have something special, do they put emotions in the songs, do they have their own identity... You need some vocalist skills to be a good singer but not being able to do a lot of things isn't necessarily bad as long as you stick to what you can do. The question is: is Dua a great singer? I am positive that the experts would also agree with what the majority has expressed on the poll: she's not a great singer. She's a MPG who has improved but her vocal abilities won't get better. Sorry but that's how biology works the more she sings the more damage her vocal cords will suffer which will translate in not having better vocals. But I'd say truly great vocalists would include Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande etc. As of now, I haven not seen Dua's vocals taking the centre stage.
