This is exactly why they want independence. This nasty elitist attitude that England has been showing for decades. England has the same mindset that the people here in the US do: that they're somehow entitled to call the shots at the expense of everyone else. I'm not a resident of the UK, I cannot claim to be in the thick of things, but in every bit of study I've gotten involved in with this subject, it is abundantly clear that Scotland is an afterthought of England and has consistently been suppressed by a system that was never designed to be equal. England gets what England wants whether the other 3 nations want it or not, and that is why most of Ireland ran as fast they could and why Scotland wants to do the same.
