Classy response.

I did it's a couple of seconds longer not by much but longer and in that time frame he tried to asses the situation by asking what's going on. Then attempted to de-escalate the situation. He only pulled out his weapon when the man (I assume Bryant's father) threw the other woman on the ground and was kicking her head in. All the while the officer is now yelling get down multiple times, "get down."  (So yeah there was a warning that Bryant and her dad were not following.)  After that  he saw Bryant lunging at the girl with the knife he shot her. I assume that the man kicking the woman is Bryant's father because he is the one yelling you shot my baby afterwards. The woman in pink can be heard saying she tried to stab me I didn't do nothing.

So it isn't what some people are trying to say that it was two grown women attacking a 16 year old. The video shows Bryant's dad and Bryant attacking two women and they did it in front of police and Bryant attacked with a weapon.

Seconds, minutes or hours that is what is on tape.

I won't post the video here because it's too graphic but The Hill has the compete news conference with the full video on Youtube. It's 44:12 minutes long.  Look it up for research.

In the United States, the use of deadly force by sworn law enforcement officers is lawful when the officer reasonably believes the subject poses a significant threat of serious bodily injury or death to themselves or others.

And this is the death of a potential murderer who was killed while attempting the said murder who refused to stand down in the presence of a police.

Careful! If you state a true fact on Gaga daily users are going to assume you hate black people.

we can all agree this was a horrible situation, a tragedy, a crisis.

Some on here are so delusional to the point they believe another’s person desire to stab and kill comes before your right to personal safety.

The officer is trained to stop a potential knife assault without killing the person. They. Are. Trained. For. This. Type. Of. Thing. But they choose not to.

We ALL agree that there should of been a different outcome. It would’ve been a miracle from god if everyone got out alive. Just because some of us are choosing to state the facts of the case, doesn’t mean we agree with it or like it. As I keep saying it’s a tragedy, a crisis.  Your feelings don’t get to change the FACTS. And the Fact is this is an extremely complicated horrible case and we all AGREE that more needs to be done to stop unwanted and unjust killings.

Now unfortunately, some users will see that and read “ black kids deserve to die “

if we actually care about black lives, we need REAL change. Not just outburst of anger online.

USians: In our country cops can use deadly force against anyone they deem is a threat, no due process, no trial, and this is totally fine because it's our culture.

But then feel the need to butt in and free other "third world" countries when our governments are being "savages" and "violating human rights" :yennefer:

Thank you omg. The excessive shooting was enough to see the real intentions, but the added Blue Lives Matter further shows that he was not interested in saving anyone. He was just scared. And that’s the main issue here. He should have NEVER became a cop. And now there’s a dead teenager that was the price to pay for this negligence. Ugh this stuff makes me so sick and nauseous

I'm still waiting for the "blue lives matter" receipts. Because I've watch the entire video and he doesn't not say anything close to that. He does say, "She had a knife. She went at her." So was it fabricated or is there actual video of him saying that?

Wow... Really. If it makes you feel superior to call everyone white supremacists then do whatever make you fell good. Also reported.

Do you also think Don Lemon is a white supremacist?

It’s the default tactic of SJWs. Disregard objective facts, assert that if you have a different opinion (no matter how foundationally sound) that you’re racist/homophobic/transphobic etc. Then pat yourself on the back when no one wants to have a conversation because of how insufferable you are. The lefts version of Qanons tactics.

Plus, they are defending a person who tried to kill another person and calling YOU the problem while they do it. Not that the cop saved a persons life who was about to be stabbed to death. Think about that for a second. Fortunately just like the fringe right, people like that are shunned by the majority of society and they can waste time crying over sugar free cookies with Demi while everyone else mocks them.

A person attacking someone else with a weapon is a threat. The cop didn't shoot the man attacking the woman with his bare hands. He shot the person lunging a knife at someone.

There are countless instances where police use excessive force. All those deserve anger. IMO this isn't one of them, but it does deserve an investigation and there is one.

No they aren't. I mean... they just absolutely are not. Cops are not trained to ask politely when someone is literally on top of another person with a knife. That's not a pretty reality, but it is reality.

If she was meters away, you would have a point. Not when they are on top of the other person.

I’m not saying he should “ask politely” at all tho, I would’ve been okay with him either tasing her (cop tasers are extremely powerful and literally stuns the person to the point where they lose motor operations) or even shooting warning shots/one shot at her legs/thighs. Yes that’s also violent but it would be 100% warranted for this type of threat. But shooting her FOUR times in the torso? No no no. That kid should’ve been in a detention center with a small bullet wound in her leg right now, not dead.
