Guest Posted April 22, 2021 Share Posted April 22, 2021 I have a hard time feeling sympathy / empathy for situations like this that are violent to begin with. That said, I don't understand why cops shoot to kill. If you're going to shoot someone, why not just shoot them somewhere to prevent them from further action? Like some things can be halted by just shooting the leg or whatever yet they always shoot at the chest, neck, stomach and head area which are 100% lethal areas to be shot at.... Thank you omg. The excessive shooting was enough to see the real intentions, but the added Blue Lives Matter further shows that he was not interested in saving anyone. He was just scared. And that’s the main issue here. He should have NEVER became a cop. And now there’s a dead teenager that was the price to pay for this negligence. It is based on former transgressions of which I know there are too many to list of police officer unjustified shootings. The officer that pulled over a black latino army medic and maced him in the face and hand cuffed him with his face on the floor because he stopped in a well lit gas station <--- disgusting. Make it so that he can never work anywhere except flipping burgers for the rest of his life. No retirement no nothing. Nothing infuriates me more that Elijah McClain's death. That poor innocent kid. F_cking damn it. But there is a lot of grey in this particular shooting. The girl was about to stab someone. She wasn't threatening. And no, a knife fight that could be broken up with one shot or a tazer is not one of those circumstances. At all.
