It 100% justifies it.  You don’t get to assault someone with a deadly weapon and expect police not to use deadly force to stop you. Period.  Full stop.    This should be a lesson to others who would attempt the same in the future.  This is not the same same as the George Floyd murder and other police brutality incidents, and it would be wise for people not to draw the false equivalence.  If we do, credibility is out the window and it does not help the movement for legit police reform.

Just for the record, I commented yesterday on you original post. This is what I said.

But after watching the cam video for the 16 year old girl, I don't think this particular shooting wasn't justified.

And this tweet you posted is such a bad comparison. The only similarity was  a knife was used. The 911 call was from the parents about their troubled teen that want to runaway. So the officer didn't even know there was a weapon and he was about to put him in handcuffs his gun wasn't drawn when the boy attacked. The officer drew his gun first here too but had the time to change his weapon. And there was no other violence going on around him.

If the man would have turned around and came for the officer with a knife in the air a second time the officer would have shot him and it would be justified. 

I don't understand what you are doing using this video. There are no similarities anywhere.

It’s called de-escalating. But I guess y’all would rather have people murdered instead

And what if this girl had been allowed to MURDER the girl she was about to stab?  Did you think that maybe this officer’s actions prevented that?  Maybe it’s YOUR mental gymnastics you should be concerned about.

Again, officers are trained to de-escalate situations like these. They have tasers for this very reason. But I guess murdering people is better for you.

You don’t “de-escalate” the moment a stabbing is happening.  You have seconds to respond.  What, should he have just asked nicely during this brawl for her to kindly put away her deadly weapon. ? WAKE UP.  This doesn’t fit - stop trying to force it.

Um the video clearly shows the cop getting out of the car trying to de-escalate without his weapon drawn. He drew his weapon after the violence erupted again and he killed the girl who was in the middle of murdering someone. He saved the girl other girl while there was violence all around him.

Why would he draw a one shot taser when there are multiple people being violent and he was alone? You're not making any sense.

She was very likely about to take another life in those few seconds.  With that decision, she forfeited her right for leniency because another girl’s life was in imminent danger.  “De-escalating” was saving that other girl’s life. That’s all.  She made a terrible decision by attacking another human with a deadly weapon and she paid the price.  It’s sad and tragic but we also must have law and order.
