The lefts version of Qanons tactics. Plus, they are defending a person who tried to kill another person and calling YOU the problem while they do it. Not that the cop saved a persons life who was about to be stabbed to death. Think about that for a second. Fortunately just like the fringe right, people like that are shunned by the majority of society and they can waste time crying over sugar free cookies with Demi while everyone else mocks them. Literally nobody is “defending” the girl. Just stating that she should not have been murdered. Playing the devil’s advocate won’t work when it leads to being complicit about a murder. What the officer was "she went at her. " Not blue lives matter. The video is of her on the ground from two different officer cameras. I am not posting the video because it is super violent. First, murder is a legal term and doesn’t apply here and won’t be applied here cause it wasn’t premeditated and therefore I can’t be complicit in it. Second, do you even know what complicit means? You literally proved my point about being so hell bent on blaming everyone else (including me?) but the girl actually doing the stabbing. It’s the most bizarre criminal sympathizing behavior. gothicdream 39,659
Disclaimer: I am not in any way defending the actions of this police officer or supporting the way we train / operate our police forces. But, I wanted to make a quick note bc I see everyone questioning about shooting in the leg, etc. and I actually tried to do some reading about this a while ago bc I had the same questions. My understanding from what I've read is that US police are trained to shoot to kill, not to wound. The reason used to justify this is that hitting a limb vs. center mass requires far more accurate marksmanship, making it more likely for an officer to miss their shot and, therefore, fail to "neutralize the threat." They are also trained to shoot until they are sure the threat has been stopped, under the assumption that one bullet will not always stop someone, which is why officers take so many shots when they shoot. I'm not sure what the training is around choosing taser vs. gun, this is just in the case that a gun is determined to be "needed." Again, I am not defending or agreeing with any of this but wanted to share the research I've done. The fact that this is how we choose to operate and train our police shows how much of a systemic issue this is vs. just "some bad cops."

I haven’t researched this myself but thank you for taking the time to do research before ranting and raving about what police are supposed to do. Too many ‘law enforcement experts’ on here who have no idea what their talking about.

I don’t get it. Literally never said I supported her potentially stabbing someone, so no, I’m not a criminal-sympathizer. And yes, it’s because people (like you) who think it’s okay to kill people when there are other avenues to take that leads these cops to shoot whoever they want. Am I on the teenager’s side? No, I am simply not cool with her being killed. Period. Sorry if that bothers some of y’all.

Nah you’re not the only who doesn’t want to see people be harmed if your mom was being attacked and being stabbed would you be asking the officer “ careful not to harm her! “ or would you be saying please save my mom? That’s your issue. if someone doesn’t share the same insane extremist view points, they must love seeing people die. As I said, someone’s desire to stab and kill you, doesn’t abolish your right to safety and protection, which Exactly what the officer provided. It’s TRAGIC. It is horrible. It is a crisis. I know that sounds nuts, but i'd rather the person attacking someone be killed rather than an innocent victim being brutally injured or killed. Not defending the police, as there are MANY instances where their actions have been inappropriate. However, in my point of view, this does make sense. They could have maybe avoided killing her, but I TOTALLY see why they did. They were defending someone from being stabbed (possibly to death)
