I think it's because he kinda gets blamed for Chromatica being too commerical/radio-friendly. I think he definitely has a part in it but the label has its hand too.

Not sure how or if he was difficult while working with gaga on ARTPOP, but a lot of hearsay I've seen on Reddit and other media over the years say that he's a **** irl, maybe has a touch of narcissism. Read what Matthew Koma and zedd's previous photographer Rukes has said about working with him. Personally, I think he got a taste of mainstream stardom and has been obsessed with chasing hits since Clarity. IMO he doesn't really care much about the artist or artistry when he's creating, I think he cares about what and who will $ell.
