Just got Pokemon Black 2 and chose Snivy as my starter; but I'm going to deposit it on the PC and look for better Pokemon since Gen V starter pokemon are all useless.

I got Black 2 too (like 6 days ago)!

I was considering doing that with Oshawott and getting Vaporeon, but I need a bug move, so I'm sticking with Samurott and Mega Horn.

My BW2 game came in with this code that I can use to receive a Sinnoh starter Pokemon http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/pgl_sinnoh_starter_walmart-2012-12-10/ I'm choosing Chimchar of course. I'm about to challenge the first Gym.

Omastar's access to Shell Smash makes it decent, but even then, its stats are ****.

Rampardos's Attack is AMAZING but everything else is ****.

Bastiodon would of have a chance over Rampardos if it didn't have 4x weakness against fighting.

Archeops is decent but has a horrible ability.

I'm not even going to discuss the others, they're just as bad.

I saw a thread on here that said "Plus and Minus" and I thought about a Pokemon that I forgot even existed!

Yea, Cradily lost it's appeal as soon as Gen III was over with. While it may be annoying with its Ingrain+ Leech Seed+ Leftovers combo, it is not impossible to knock out with 2 strong hits these days. On top of that, Cradily's Attack and Special attack stats are not even that impressive, so it's really hard for it to fight back. You could give it Toxic and then just stall the match and hope that your opponent will slowly faint, but that just doesn't work anymore. When I had a Cradily, I bred one with Corsola so it could have Mirror Coat, and for a while it worked, but now Physical Attacks dominate.

I'm just going to go with Archeops as the best fossil. Archeops' purpose in the game is not to take a whole bunch of hits and stall your opponent's team; his purpose is to hit hard, knock out as many Pokemon as possible and then die. Give him a Flying Gem and Acrobatics and he will deal triple the damage: the gem is first consumed powering up the Flying attack, and then because Acrobatics doubles in power when it is not holding an item, the attack triples and that should be enough to 1HKO several Grass and Fighting Pokemon. Should he run into some trouble, a U-Turn will deal some heavy damage and immediately send him back to the Pokeball. He has a terrible ability, but yea- it's not like he's going to survive an Ice Beam anyway.
