I know you’re smarter than that. Automobiles are far more important than a gun is to our society. Are you gonna glock your way to work? Pistol the lettuce from California to Utah?

lol...

good point...

Our best chance is to start limiting manufacturing, regulate sales including who can buy and how many guns are sold by vendors. Then we have to invest in gun safety education and invest in the mental health crisis that is leading to so much violence. The goal would be to shift the culture in our country. Banning isn’t gonna happen. At least not in this decade or the next probably. At least not without a lot of ugly clashing.

Good logical approach to a real problem that is in the USA....

I don’t understand American’s problem with guns. Just ban them. Ban them and regulate them hard, then jump through the necessary hoops as a human being to own one.

Why are people against banning them? If you do, then the only people left with guns will be smart, stable people. The only reason you’d be against banning is if you weren’t one of those people, and knew it!

I think that the gun issue is relevant and making legislative changes is important...Good for him...

but...

This issue has a problem ...

Gun makers don't sell their guns with the intent of crazy people using them on others...

Same with knives or baseball bats or cars ...

Holding the manufacturer responsible for what their customers do isn't right.

I mean knives, baseballs and cars have other uses. Guns on the otherhand their purpose is exclusively to be a weapon so i dont think its quite the same :laughga:

The usual, when something becomes politicized reasoning often goes out the window.

Mob like thinking and partisanship in my opinion is a plague to human society because anything can become propaganda

This goes for all political sides btw imo. While the issue of guns in this case is a criticism on conservatives for politicizing this in a stupid way its not like i dont see centrists or the left over politicizing and creating mob lime thinking in other stuff too. All parts of the political spectrum are guilty of it just in different things

Australia banned guns after our infamous & tragic Port Arthur Massacre.. there hasn’t been gun violence here since then.

I don’t care how what ‘right to arms’ people have in the US. Every time I open Twitter there’s a new shooting. So much death which could’ve been avoided. It’s impossible to regulate, it’s just easier to remove them from the vast majority of the population.

People don’t need guns in their homes. It’s really that simple.

The point I'm trying get at is that there are millions of recreational gun owners that don't shoot other people or plan to... :fail:

Well i agree most dont plan to... but given their only purpose is to use as a weapon i dont see why allow them at all outside law enforcement and military even if most ppl arent gonna use them

K but knives are meant for cooking, bats for sports, cars for transport,

Assault rifles for.... ? Killing people

And b4 it's justified that guns are for "sport" ok great, go to the range and shoot a pistol if you must. Or better yet purchase call of duty and have fun pretending to shoot and kill people.

As far as which party politician compared cars to guns,... , you should know by now I'm not a party based opinion poster...

Oh, I know. It's just the GOP that's always standing in the way of any kind of gun legislation and I enjoy throwing them under the bus and making them eat their own words :huntyga:

I can't see penalizing legit recreational gun owners but regulations to prevent violence is definitly  needed...

Is this referring to the gun show thing? It's really the fact that private, unregulated, and untraced gun sales happen at them. If they want to have a little firearm convention then whatever, I just don't think they should be allowed to sell guns, ammo, or non-cosmetic attachments and mods at them.

Whimsical bitch

Enforcement is whats needed...I think legislation is there or in the work...I agree that enhanced weapons serve no recreational purpose
