Here’s why Chromatica era is a mix of Born This Way & ARTPOP eras

Born This Way 

- Lead singles released in February (2011, 2020)
- Albums released in May (2011, 2020)
- Lead singles (BTW, SL) follow similar chord progressions
- Lead singles are the second song on their albums (Alice > SL; MTN > BTW)
- Biblical references (Judas, Babylon) 

ARTPOP 

- Both album names are not real words in the English language (“art”and “pop” are words, “chromatic” and “chromatically” are words; “àrtpop” and “chromatica” are not)
- Both albums have songs that are sonically high energy yet lyrically they are sad (DWUW, Swine, FT, 911)
- Madeon & Tchami return as producers (Gypsy, 911; Applause, 1000 Doves)
- References to being an enigma (Aura, Enigma)
- Circumstances out of Gaga’s control (management split in 2013, pandemic in 2020) caused delays and/or cancellations to promotional events for both eras
- A duet jazz album with Tony Bennett is released during both eras

This is very true! If only Chromatica wasn't done too safely, but rather in the style of babylon,alice, 911 and SFA. It would literally be a lovechild of BTW and ARTPOP

The Born This Way parallels are super apparent. 

A cinematic instrumental that leads into an anthemic dance song about self-love, paired with alien visuals. In stead of being on G.O.A.T. we are on Chromatica. Creating a new race/tribe which bares no prejudice, aka Kindess Punks. The facial prosthetics mirroring the pink facial stickers. 

I’m not sure I see anything about the ARTPOP era in Chromatica though.
