Lowkey fine with this. I haven’t gotten sick all year thanks to masks

Same and my allergies are so much better! It’s crazy how we weren’t doing this before.

You can currently do most of this with masks, social distancing, and if vaccinated even better.

Once most of your loved ones are vaccinated it will all feel more normal.

Please keep the hope. This is almost over with vaccines rolling out to the world.

I’m in France and the vaccination process is so slow, so far my father got the vaccine, my mom only got the first dose. Cinemas and restaurants are closed here, we’re going into a 3rd lockdown, it feels like it’s never ending.

In the US basically everything is open but being safe you can live somewhat normally (but responsibly).

I think you guys will go back to normal once they start mass vaccination.

Honestly, it doesn’t make sense to completely close everything. They could have 50% capacity and be safe.

I'll 100% continue wearing masks when I'm out and about in public spaces (train, stores, etc) especially during flu season, but it absolutely sucks to wear a mask to do anything strenuous.

I double mask when I go to the gym and it's honestly the worst. The feeling of a sweat droplet trickling down the side of my nose under the mask is a feeling like no other. :fatcat:

This time next year we will be back to a new normality, our old way of life will not come back but that's not necessarily a negative thing. I'm hoping it means workplaces will allow people to take sick leave even for colds/masks mandatory during winter (masks will keep your face warm too haha). I hated the culture that when sick we should still be in the workplace, and I hope handwashing is still a common thing after this.

Nothing makes sense tbh, they are keeping schools open but yet people have to go to work and take the subway but they don’t want us to go to the movies or to restaurants. I just can’t wait to get vaccinated!

I'll continue to wear masks, I quite like it. I also like that people at work don't hug me or come too close anymore :flower:

Just require quick Covid testing when entering another country.  We’re not about to continue social distancing after vaccinations.  Nope.

Didn't the CDC already say that vaccinated people can hang out with each other without masks though?

Same. It's been so nice :enigma: and masks are a god send for introverts.

I do miss concerts though. I was literally six days away from seeing Cher before the wave of cancellations started happening :noparty:

I may as well commit suicide then. I’m not tired of masks but I am tired of social distancing, I miss my friends, I miss my grand mother, I miss going to the movies, eating at restaurants. I just miss living.

Nah, there's no way things are going to stay closed and distanced for that long. I'd be surprised if we didn't see full events and openings by the end of the year in most places.

Between the vaccine and treatments, even if it is endemic (which it likely will be), we'll be SO MUCH better at fighting it.

Yeah, but some countries are behind on vaccines while others still have none. In the US, Canada, and a lot of European countries, covid won't be an issue for much longer. But there's still a ton of places where it will be.

I’ll give it another 6 months after I’m vaccinated and then I’m done wearing a mask lol

Actually yes. I guess we have to wait for more data on transmission after getting the vaccine
