Mother of Puppies 36,415
THIS... I think she was the only one who understood what "camp" means. (and actually read that whole essay and rehearsed her performance) and of course the real deal THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

(not music related, but I thought her reaction was so freaking cool and not a lot of people have actually spoken about this in such a way) y'know that "Would it be so terrible?" She is a true kindness queen! I love her for that... I haven't seen one famous person being like that before Definitely not back then. Today's pop stars tend to be so overtly pro LGBT bc it's a good marketing tool and they know its big among the gen z crowd. I know it's only 10 years but it really is a different era now where everyone talks about their mental health, their anxiety and self care. Gaga was saying all if that before it was cool. 😇

Yeah exactly... I feel like she is the one who is starting everything and not because it's cool, but because she really cares about those topics.... and then everyone jumps on that train for marketing reasons... (and also that performance where that girl vomited on her on stage) Those are things I don't really like nor do I find that artistic. So this brings back the topic of being a fan, but not being totally blind and loving everything she has done, which I think is also ok THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

HuffsAhoy 7,433
Pretty much the entire way she reinvented herself after ARTPOP. I was convinced she was going to go the route of Cyndi Lauper; which is not a bad thing at all. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. imnotyourbabe10 6,100
ARTPOP as a queer revolutionary, FU to the music industry. Swine at SXSW The highest performance art of her career, imho Joanne as an experimental record in some senses ASIB/AHS -- some really good acting Releasing The Cure as a stand alone, surprise single -- for someone that doesn't usually surprise lol
Anderson123 38,203
Be able to top The Fame Monster with Born This Way. Just to have Marry The Night, Government Hooker, Judas, Americano, Hair, Scheiße, Bloody Mary, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, You and I and The Edge of Glory all in the same album. Sound of Music Tribute at the Oscars. Winning an Oscar and her speech. That VMA night: "And I promised that if I won this tonight I'd announce the name of my new record, it's called Born This Way". Chromatica. 90's music is one of my favorites to listen to so the way she took me back there with this sound and posters and flyers is something I could not believe, we all expected this album to sound like that Babylon demo or ARTPOP 2.0 and it's just so clean and perfect. Bad Romance and Dance In The Dark. Listening to BR demo for the first time I just knew she had hit another level with it after listening to The Fame a billion times. Dance In The Dark was just another one of those moments where I was blown away by the melody, what a perfect song. Same feeling when I listened to Scheiße for the first time. Cheek To Cheek, Joanne and A Star Is Born. I don't even need to explain this. Any jazz performance she does, it's so beautiful and she owns the stage. The way she has always supported the LGBT+ community from the very beginning, she's always been so passionate and real about this and made it clear in every interview, never as a joke. Overall just the way she works really hard and puts like 200% herself into everything she does, even when she's in physical and mental pain.
