Brazil has just recently ordered 10M doses of this vaccine. 

I can’t agree with this. First, it’s missing the timeline (this is old). Second, it’s from Azar so who actually knows if it’s even true in the first place. Third, it’s literally blatant propaganda.

We shouldn’t be spreading propaganda from any political sources that mean to do harm to people. And that includes the original annual report from Azar, an incompetent trump appointee.  That could’ve been included literally just to try and make the US look bad after they lost and I would not even be surprised, it’s not like there are sources for it.

 

Have Brazilian officials confirmed it? Who did they talk too? Where is the correspondence? In this day and age we can’t trust governments to do the right thing or tell the truth.

Every Brazilian article I've seen (and I've now searched for a good 45 min just bc I have free time today tehe) just cites this Kremlin report as evidence.

There is literally no evidence to back up your "news" thread. No correspondence, no details, nothing.... except for this propaganda piece fresh of Putin's desk. 

At most, this should be tagged as a rumor. It's incorrect and immoral for you to wave this around as if it's "news". Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Either way, I wouldn't be offended by this. First, it happened during the Trump admin (if it happened at all), and second, Russia is using their vaccine as a political tool while spreading disinformation and someone should be trying to stop them.

Hope Russian culture and Brazil culture will be even more friends. Russians and Brazil people have a connection anyway. 

Brazil can be in future a real latin american super power when things get done and no, economy is not the most important for some countries and cultures. Oh and many things about Russia are not true and who spreads not good things but false things will in long-term be not successful. Whole picture is different...

 It's a complete disrespect to the tens of millions of people imprisoned  in North Korea or the millions that are having their culture beaten out of them in the North West and South West of Ch*na (Ti*et and Xi*jiang regions). In Ch*na you can't even use social media other than those owned by the government and in NK even most elite rich people have no access to the internet. In Xi*jiang hotels need licenses to even host non ethnic Chinese (all foreigner and all minorities within China). If you cross the border at Xi*jiang as a foreigner you WILL have a spy software installed on you phone, they even say it to your face, it's not a secret.

Sure Russia has no free elections or free press and Sure they use Sputnik as a political tool. but you are free to move in and out of the country, move freely within the country, become a citizen by naturalisation, have double nationality, access pretty much any website, practice any religion you want, have as many children as you want. In Russia if you talk crap about the government as an individual level you're more endangered by P*tin supporters than by the government itself.

The proof is that Navalny has been on the Russian political scene for 20 years and has been extremely vocal and open about his opposition for at least 10 years. Note that the 2008 Georgia crisis, 2014 Ukraine crisis and the Syrian civil war all happened during that time.  It's more comparable to Turkey or Lebanon level of freedom than freaking NORTH KOREA

It's already cracking down on social media. Twitter is going to be blocked in 30 days. Facebook is probably next.

Freedom House gave the Crimean peninsula practically the same freedom score as Sudan and Somalia. Russia is in the "not free" category together with the likes of Azerbaijan and Angola.
