Manchin was never on the ballot with Trump, and he's extremely fortunate for that.

Look for him to lose in 2024...and it won’t be to some moderate or progressive Democrat. It will be to some Trumper Republican. 

We will look back and wish for another Manchin, because West Virginia will go solid Red!

Well I would just say that Dems aren't even supposed to have this power.... like, something that makes American democracy so resilient is our seperations of powers. The executive branch shouldn't just obliterate Senate rules to advance their agenda — that's wrong if either side does it.

Let's so hypothetically that Kamala did overrule the parliamentarian. Would the min wage provision even pass? Manchin already said days ago that he was opposed, which killed the chances of the bill passing.... So Kamala would do this for what

So um, hey y'all. Just a friendly reminder that Kamala overruling the parliamentarian here and breaking the norms wouldn't save the minimum wage bill, which most of you were sh*tting on anyway as soon as it was announced.

I'm a little confused as to what all the outrage is about. Is it misinformed or performative or genuine anger than Democrats won't blow up the system for literally no gain? Like I get that some of y'all want to burn the system and that's great good luck with that, but for those of you that actually want to see this minimum wage provision passed... this (Kamala vs the Senate parliamentarian) is NOT the fight to pick
