A documentary chronicling The Weeknd’s Super Bowl halftime show is in the works, US network Showtime has confirmed.

THE SHOW is said to have a run-time of 90 minutes and will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the production of this year’s halftime show.

A film about his performance is set to arrive on TV screens later this year.

THE SHOW will be produced by Super Bowl sponsor Pepsi’s in-house content studio, alongside production company Boardwalk Pictures.

It will be directed by Emmy-nominated director Nadia Hallgren.

Apparently documentaries about getting prepared for your Superbowl are the thing now. :green: JK but I wonder if it's just going to be about that or also After Hours or something else.

It is not that the Wknd is boring.

It is just that he is not interesting:madge:

why do you need a documentary about a super bowl performance? a world wide tour sure but even if this were the most spectacular super bowl halftime i’ve ever seen...still...who cares?

His show was no where near interesting or elaborate enough to warrant a documentary about the behind the scenes. Sorry bout it.

I respect his art and I think his album was decent. But this is too much... his SB performance was average at best, its nothing that particularly interesting, and its like he's trying to make a bigger deal out it than what's necessary.

Gaga's documentary included some parts of her performance, but it wasn't just about her half time show. And Gaga's is one of the most iconic performances...

The Weekend is trying way to hard at this point and he's becoming overrated
