MJHolland 12,725
3 hours ago, President Biden said: You are generalizing “millenials” as a whole. I was referring to the select individuals on this site who are afraid of COVID but also skeptical of the vaccine. The need to take my clear point about member of this site and blow it up into some generalized rant about all millennials, is unnecessary. And that statement is also fairly misleaded. Teenagers are the ones causing such mass transmission. By this point in time, most millennials are parents raising families. At least in my immediate family, the millennials have actually take. this way more seriously than the Boomers/Silent Generation. HUH?! What rant?? Replace "millenials" with "young people." IDGAF! Stop trying to twist what I was saying to make it some debate about the persecution of millenials (which I am of, btw.... *eye roll*). It is young people who are going out to parties and in large groups and spreading this virus and they all need to be vaccinated before we get even worse mutations. I'm also not trying to say all young people or even generalize. All it takes is a handful of super spreaders in a community to kill thousands of people. It's shocking that we're a year into this pandemic and people still doing understand how this works. 3 hours ago, TimisaMonster said: Shame? Why would I be embarrassed? Nothing I said was false lol...tell me what I posted wasn't true? This entire sentence is not true. Each underlined part represents its own delusion lie. Shame on you honestly for pushing such radical and destructive lies. "watered down rushed half [a$$edd?] vaccine Trump forced the FDA to mass produce 1. How is it watered down? What does that even mean? If it's dangerous in your opinion, how is it watered down at the same time? None of that makes sense. These vaccines are 95% plus effective at stopping COVID-19. 2. It was not rushed. It went through the standard duration for a vaccine for each trial phase, and it is highly highly highly effective and scientifically proven to be very safe (and much much safer than COVID, that's for sure). 3. It was not half assed. Where is that even coming from? Literally billions of dollars and countless hours went into these vaccines. The scientists who developed this vaccine are mother f*cking heros and are going to save millions of lives. Seriously, who the absolute hell do you think you are calling their work half assed? The world owes a debt of gratitude to these heros. 4. Trump did not force the FDA to approve either vaccine or anything else. Completely independent and outside council (called the FDA Advisory Committee) to the FDA approved both vaccines in the U.S. before the FDA commissioner did. We have safeguards against exactly that kind of corruption. Members of the FDA Advisory Committee, which unanimously approved both vaccines in the US btw, are scientific experts—such as physician-researchers and statisticians—and members of the public, including a FDA Patient Representative. Plus, both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been approved by government health ministries all around the world. Approval had nothing to do with Trump. 5. The FDA had/has nothing to do with mass production of either vaccine. You're thinking of the Defense Production Act, which Trump did NOT invoke.... BIDEN did last month and still it doesn't have anything to do with the FDA. Bottom line: the vaccines in the US are safe and effective and anyone that goes on a slanderous misinformation campaign to undermine public trust should be ashamed of themselves. I would actually love to see people prosecuted for spreading misinformation about the vaccine. People that do this are a danger to society. It's disgusting and deplorable. auburn 1,072
The article and title seem very clickbaity. Which vaccine was it? One vaccine causing this does not mean all vaccines are bad. It is important to report on news like this, but it's also important to be clear about all the details before rushing to write an article which will only create further panic.
