Circus, Femme Fatale, Britney Jean and Glory haven't really been the most groundbreaking pop albums but I've liked them because it's Britney but other than that they're just basic pop albums and we love them because it's her. I think people say that Beautiful Trauma and Hurts 2B Human sound so "samey" and that she keeps using the same "sound" because she never stopped writing / working on new music between BT and H2BH. The albums were released in October 2017 and April 2019 respectively, that's around eighteen months between each record. I think that H2BH is almost like a very distant, half sister album to BT. Well, except her first I don't like R+B all that much lol. I especially love her last two albums! They're not generic, they have a lot of heart and emotion poured into them imo.
