This is the problem with being super religious.  You get caught up in dumb fights about how important things like funerals are.  

People who think their ancestors had everything ALL FIGURED OUT thousands of years ago.... I mean....... this is conservatism on crack.  A life based totally on fear of change.

I dont get it why some ppl are so disrespectful to basic precautions tbh

 

My parents are quite religious but they attend the stuff on zoom right now. They have not gone in since february of last year. All the stuff has been done on zoom as it should be tbh

 

Churches are like mini concerts... ppl sit right next to eachother with very little space. It should be one of the last restrictions lifted tbh

Because they believe some Harry Potter creature controls their lives, so it's not that hard to don't believe a virus proved by scientists.

In my country everything was closed during lockdown, schools, restaurants, gyms, shopping malls etc.but not churches. There were and still are capacity limits but no one control it

I dont think one has to be related tho. My parebrs are as religious as they come. They certainly have never  doubted the virus

 

On the flip side i dont think all covid deniars are necessairily religious

I’m a spiritual person and I do believe in the existance of a higher power/being but this to me is absolutely criminal... God meets you halfway, he doesn’t give and protect unless you do your part as well. It’s extremely selfish, lazy and ignorant to think God will do all the work for you while you act recklessly or don’t do anything at all yourself to work towards the situation/goal/whatever it is you want. And same with this virus, you can’t expect to be protected when you don’t even try and show that you want to be protected. May the person that died rest in peace but these people couldn’t be more wrong, selfish and ignorant right now so God may have indeed mercy.

In the US there have been many people that say the government is trying to keep them from attending church, so basically they've let churches open. (Because you know, we're American and we have rights!) As a Christian, I haven't attended church in person in over a year. While I do believe in God, I also believe God gives us common sense.  You aren't supposed to test things and completely ignore science. There is a reason we have science and it helps people. I feel like those going to church in large groups are like those churches that test God with snakes. If you stayed home, then we could get this under control faster. But I'm not naive enough to not realize that most of those attending churches are ultra conservative and partly or fully deny covid even exists.

Of course, I’m not trying to say all Christians or whatever believer is the same. I’m just saying that there is a group that is just using God as an excuse and that is disturbing. At the same side there are enough non-believers who don’t believe in corona and starting riots (also in my country). Let’s just say people are born stupid in every part of the world.
