why now? (to be clear, I don't agree with removing her at all but) you'd think they would've removed her during the 'reputation' or 'lover' eras, not right after she puts out two folk albums.

I mean... she did sort of leave the genre. Now half of her discography is non-country. I think it’s sort of cheap to downright replace her, but if I was making a list of influential and icons of country music (coming from a guy who lived in the south) Brad Paisley would sure as hell be ahead of Taylor  Even Gaga’s done more for country than Taylor has since 1989.

Taylor Swift does not deserve any country accolades. She's done nothing for country music, expect make sob story albums blaming the men in her life for her failures in every relationship she's been in. If any female country artists deserve recognition its Carrie Underwood or Kacey Musgraves; singers with actual talent.

I understand why they did, but the sound and persona of the female country singers of the 2010s are a direct influence of Taylor’s legacy as a country act. She also served as arguably the biggest crossover act of this century for the genre (even before red or 1989 solidified her as a pop star).
She and Kacey Musgraves are the 2010s greatest female (and imo greatest overall) outputs of the genre.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Taylor wasn't all that country even when she was country. She's always been heavily pop leaning.

I'm more surprised to not see Shania Twain or Faith Hill on the mural.

The delusion, as well as the blatant misogyny in this statement, is nauseating. Shall we remind ourselves that Fearless is the most-awarded Country album of ALL TIME? Or the fact that Taylor's always made sure to credit her Country roots, as well as her contemporaries in Country music for her success?

Also, regardless of your opinion of her/her work, perpetuating the "exploiting her failed relationships" narrative in 2020 is destructive, unnecessary, and classless, especially considering the fact that a ton of male Country artists' work is founded on their malignant views of women. You're entitled to your own opinion regarding whichever piece of work you're discussing, however, sustaining such toxic notions in this day & age is completely uncalled-for. :bye:

Why is that guy, in the far left of the mural, grabbing his crotch?

And the fact they literally painted specifically over her and no one else :smh:

I swear country fans think that Taylor is never going to do a country album ever again

I’m sure she’ll release one in the next 5 years
