Hi people I'm planning on starting my own YouTube channel in the near future and I want to make a richly detailed documentary on ARTPOP.

It's my personal fave of her discography and I've never seen any particularly good videos about it on YouTube.

I'm collecting as much research and facts about it as I can but I thought you guys are the best people to turn to for helpful information.

Please let me know anything you know about ARTPOP, especially the stuff that's not widely known, like the problems she had with her team and manager (since that information is not easy to find), or the ups and downs of the era etc, maybe details on the making of the album, or fun facts about the songs. Literally anything you'd like to see explored on the documentary.

It would help me immensely. Thank you and Merry Christmas xx

I'm fine, Ta

Temple, Brooklyn Nights, and Nothing On But The Radio were in the final batch meant to be on the album, but Gaga was limited to 15 tracks.

Apparently, Gaga does not remember the album... :triggered:

she revealed applause as the lead single through littlemonster.com in july '13

she revealed the tracklist with the help of her fans creating a mural

"The 'Applause' hitmaker explained on Twitter: 'To announce the ARTPOP tracklist I've commissioned a mural by my most dedicated Los Angeles fans.

Known as the LA Rivington Rebels, they've been sleeping outside of the Record Plant (my studio) for a month! Sleeping bags, booze & all.'"

Well, there's the controversy surrounding DWUW and its music video. She was originally gonna release it through Torrent but there were already problems with her manager and team, the public reception of the SNL performance and the lately criticized collab with R Kelly.

The album itself is a statement to protect the artist against the music corporation.

Brooklyn Nights and Mary Jane Holland were in competition for the 12th spot on the album but Gaga felt like MJH was more in the mood for the album.

I guess she planned to release Brooklyn Night, Princess Die, Tea and a bunch of other songs through the ARTPOP app.

Also, she has a bunch of unreleased stuff from ARTPOP. Songs like In Like With You, Onion Girl, Tinnitus, Temple, Heard It On The Radio, Brooklyn Nights, Ratchet, Red Flame, PARTYNAUSEOUS, Tea that we know were finished or at least at a very advanced stage. She mentioned a bunch of other songs in tweets, or sang them backstage, or registered them on her BMI but we don't know a lot about these songs... Maren, Gaze, Sire and The Stage. Rest In Peace Act. II... :saladga:

There's rumors that Onion Girl instrumental is the same as Addicted To A Memory by Zedd.

Before Applause was created, Sexxx Dreams was supposed to be the lead single featured Robin Thicke.

Do What U Want was supposed to be released as a solo song but DJ White Shadow came up with the idea of having R Kelly featured on the track.

Do What U Want video was shot but thanks god never released. :enigma: It would have been the end of Lady Gaga.

ArtRAVE was supposed to have a DVD.

Zedd had to forfeit these songs when he signed the ARTPOP contracts :
Lauren Bennett – Saturday, Anjulie – Karma Bitch, Great Times, I Don't Like You, Zedd – Stars Come Out ft. Heather Bright, Zedd – EPOS, Zedd – Follow You Down (Utopia).

Nick Knight was supposed to do the photoshoot for the album.

numb the flame

she announced its title on little monsters.com by sharing an image of her tattoo 3 august 2012.

she leaked Aura on GagaDaily (:cryga:) on 5 august 2013. The version Gaga leaked had different vocals to Burqa however it has the same production as the album version. Burqa shares the same vocals as the album version of Aura however the album production of the final chorus is different on Burqa.

I Wanna Be With U was later turned into Dope because the label wanted a ballad so Gaga said "I'll give you a fckin ballad" and she turned a song about her fans into a song about addiction.

Gaga also said the fans really misunderstood this, she talked about it more in an interview, but she basically doesn't hate the album :huntyga:

I also recommend that you look for information in the documents that were leaked not long ago, at least read the thread :ally:

I thought that was Tara that came up with the idea?

Nothing on but the radio leaked way before even Born This Way album came out tho.
