The Kelly Clarkson Show, which has just been renewed for two more years, ended the year on a new season high.

Clarkson's talk show, in its sophomore year, gained 10% to earn a 1.1 national Nielsen rating for live-plus-same day, tying the show with vet Ellen DeGeneres for third place among talk shows in the session ending December 13.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which ended its season earlier this month when the comedian contracted COVID-19, declined 8% to a 1.1, according to TVNewsCheck. azwy-2.gif

Kelly’s career is so impressive. She’s never really counted as a big star but she’s done so much, sold so many records, love her.

The moment her show was announced, I knew she would do well! She's so likable and has this positive energy around her.

I had friends who went to Ellen's show. Said Ellen didn't interact with the audience at all when camera's quit rolling for breaks.

I went to the Kelly Clarkson show and when they cut for break, Kelly kept chatting to the audience, making jokes about the filming process with us and was so down-to-Earth about the process and made us all feel so comfortable.

Kelly may be newer to the talk show life than Ellen, but Kelly has been in this business for over a decade and has every right to have more walls up. But she was super nice and welcoming. It's about time Ellen's attitude has caught up with her. I hope Kelly keeps climbing and when Ellen's show is over in 1-2 years, Kelly gets the spot (if she wants it).

I wana agree so badly but she sounds so preachy and philosophical sometimes and it comes off really cringey IMO :yennefer:

I went to Kelly’s show too and I can confirm this! She even told me she liked my hair.

Eh, I agree somewhat. And sometimes the quirkiness is a little extra.... I still enjoy watching it though a few times a week (I’ll watch it like everyday if I’m at home with nothing better going on).

I suppose her energy seems VERY forced sometimes but she has a lot of funny moments. And at the same time, Drew’s show seems more appealing to the average young person than Kelly’s (something about it seems off......and a little boring except for when there’s interesting guests).
