She did it with her previous album and she will do it again with the new one. Tons of physical editions. I know that for the first week she had only digital copies and streaming, but the album will sell more the other weeks with all the physical editions.

In my opinion surprise releases are much better than announcing a release date and then have a leaked album.

Keeping the fans fed non stop! Disney plus special, Netflix special, vinyl editions, actual Signed CD. Increíble interviews and promo. That was all done between July and now.

I want some new Gaga content just like the next person, but Taylor's strength is her dedicated fanbase. There's no one else that's selling like her these days, and she proved this year she doesn't even need much promo to achieve this. I don't think there's any revolutionary marketing strategy at work here, people just love her.

True. Her fan base is so hardcore. That being said o have so many friends that have no clue Gaga released an album this year, like a lot of people don’t even know the album is out. They only know ROM. No promo really affects the longevity of an album. Se la vie

I mean I agree with you, no one around me has any idea what Chromatica is, but it's been that way with pretty much each Gaga record since BTW, so while promo is obviously helpful, I'm not sure it has that much impact anymore. If people don't respond immediately to the project like they did with ASIB, there's no reason this should make any sort of wave. That's just the way the industry works these days.
