Guest
Why was Princess Die never released? Why was Gaga's best album ARTPOP act ii never released? the injustice is sickening. lets take a break from fuming about Chromatica promo injustice and fume about this instead. It’s so overindulgent and she would have been dragged to hell if it was officially released... a song about killing your self while your adoring fans worship you, drawing a parallel between herself and princess Diana... it’s themes are similar to her other work but I think it would have been very controversial and panned, critics tend to not like when pop artist go too dark
ShayCristoforo 10,560
I don’t think Princess Die is better than You And I, Bad Romance, The Edge Of Glory, 911, Gypsy, etc. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

I just don't think Princess Die is Gaga's best effort to try and deconstruct the legitimate issue. Her juxtaposition of Princess Diana (who was so clearly murdered) to the plight of a troubled singer-song writer didn't translate well for me. It’s a cool idea but it came off a bit egotistical & self indulgent to me. The execution was not great & it was clear how strung out and damaged she was during that time. Reality 73,745
Princess Die reminds me of TIHTY: both amazing songs lyrically, and they're obviously both very important and meaningful songs, but sonically, I just don't like them. ᗰᗩYᕼEᗰ || 🦇👹🖤
