Well it was released during the peak of the pandemic, when it was very difficult to film anything.

Since then it has been possible for her to film things, as shown by the 911 video.

So it is very much possible that it could have been filmed, at some point after the album was released. And again as shown by 911, her label/sponsors are willing to finance videos that will not necessarily be singles/hugely successful.

The only problem is whether or not she wanted to do it.

Tbh. The pandemic could have messed up plans and timings for SC just like it messed up timing of album in general and ROM as well

If they wanted to make it happen they may prefer late than never.

Could also just be hype and nothing is happening, or if something was supposed to happen it didn't get delayed, it got cancelled permanently

I think it’s been teased a bunch, so yes I assume it’s real. But I expect nothing lol

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

I think it's real, she literally quoted the song on her instagram post and was wearing the same hoodie as some Blackpink girls.

Also she just posted about Tudor, Hauslabs and BTWF. I think it might be to don't have to do it will promoting the video.

I don't. It is a product of delusion as of now.

I hope its not real. There are so man songs on Chromatica that deserve a video more than Sour Candy.

But none are as commercially viable as SC

I disagree entirely. I think its disingenuous to write off the solo songs on Chromatica as non-commercial. But then again, I am not interested in commercial value lol.

Her solo songs are definitely commercially viable, and I like almost every song on Chromatica more than I do SC (I actually don’t know if I really like it to begin with lol) but I mean, it’s the song with the most potential, commercially, IMO.

But there are so many other ways to record videos and we have seen many many artists become super creative with making videos during the pandemic. Gaga and black pink wouldn’t even need to be together to record a video

I think its commercial value has passed. If she released a music video in May 2020 along side the song I would be more on board, but now nearly 7 months later it feels like an after thought

Yeah they definitely should’ve done something with it between Chromatica’s release and BP’s new album release. Imagine them both promoting tf out of it to boost both of their albums. But it isn’t a proper Gaga era without wasted potential and wasted opportunities :billie:

Tbh, I think it's real and they're gonna release it in January. It makes no sense to release in December due to the Christmas freeze and looking at the success of Watermelon Sugar, it might be best to let a song die and then push it instead of trying to piggyback off the initial wave of attention.
