Mark 4,065 Posted January 18, 2014 Share Posted January 18, 2014 so i ordered ARTPOP korea with calendar on yesasia... i received it today. i have one issue about it. the plastic sleeve is open. theres a sleeve... but it is slashed in the middle... idk if its been opened or not. question for those people who own it.. is the calendar inside the case or outside? i really want a factory sealed copy... what should i do? do i complain or something. i doesnt look like its been opened.. but the fact that the sleeve was opened, the excitement got away. 00026 † 10000 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is an official version. I was told I would receive the real version. I received this odd factory made fake. Poor image quality and only the ARTPOP letters were in foil. It was fake. I threatened the seller and received a full refund but get to Keep the cd/DVD That's sucks! can you please share the pictures so we could recognize the fake? Um guy's have any of you thought of this... its pretty interesting!! Ok, as we all know there are collectors of music and of particular artists, but i never realised how much different each type is... For example there are legacy collectors for bands such as The Beatles or solo artists such as Michael Jackson or Madonna, their rarities reach mega high prices, which usually only occurs when an artist is dead or considered iconic/legendary or they are a well respected and sought after artist, it also depends on the rarity of the item. Lady Gaga surprisingly yet unsurprisingly falls into this category herself, she has certain releases that reach upwards and beyond anything even remotely similar to today's other contemporary artists, for example her 'The Fame USB' edition because of a manufacturing error they only made one small run of them and nowadays they reach upwards of £300 - £500 then there's other rarities like promotional vinyls etc, she is considered a HIGHLY collectable artist. To give you some perspective artists like La Roux aren't considered highly collectable... not because they aren't respected but because they aren't in demand from the majority of the public and do not have such a 'cult' following like Lady Gaga etc So you can buy a signed custom made la roux picture disc for about £6 inc postage, another example is Katy Perry, she has no outstanding rarities, her most expensive collectable is a CD they released before she changed her name to Katy Perry it was simply called Katy Hudson and was a christian music cd, it now fetches around £80 - £100, again for perspective, this would be the equivalent of Lady Gaga's red and blue CD and if you where ever lucky enough to see a genuine copy (because yes there are fakes) they reach upwards of £3,000. Just some thoughts i have... its amazing how much of a collector following Lady Gaga has already. I've talked about this issue with my friend who collect other artists and it's true, collecting gaga is expensive! but as a Britney collector I can promise you it's not any cheaper. back in 99-04 the market of cds was really rich and she released so many stuff you can barely keep up. and a lot of rarities. TheQueen 18 Posted January 18, 2014 Share Posted January 18, 2014 this is fcking crazy. because of these stupid AND IMPATIENT collectors(not legit), we're gonna end up with high-priced cds on ebay for the reason that there's someone who's willing to pay for $50+++ on a cd which will be released some time soon. its getting me really fcking irritated. just wait and we can all have our copies on a reasonable price. but no, he get dat $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ all those money-sucking sellers will milk us again. thank you to those stupid bidders. i hope no one gets offended here... its their money, i know. but i just cant! they are the reason for these ridiculous prices. my goshhhhhh. end of rant.
