I love it, but I actually wish Elton wasn't on it. He doesn't add anything to it, his presence sounds awkward/weird/distant.

It's a special song, lyrically. It makes me feel so existential and a little bit sad. The production is good, although dated and not anything that unique. I enjoy the outro, it's really cool and a nice "plot twist" to end the song with, but I suppose unnecessary? Lol. :laughga:

Absolutely a highlight from the album, and top 5. I wish we could get that acoustic version she did for Voce Viva in full.

I am so sick of all these hot take threads. No one cares about your basic negative opinions :lolga:

Its also in the interlude :koons:

Yes, but in the end it's more in the metaphorical sense, as it symbolizes the "sine from above" they were both singing about (hence the song's name :trollga: )

Ew, David!

BURNS had it on his computer. It was meant for Elton John in 2013 however he rejected it. So it lay on his computer. They obviously redid the production from then, its not the same song as it was back then

It was Axwell who made the song, but you’re right. There’s no way that this the same song as it was in 2013/2014. I just went to listen to the song again, and I can see why people are saying it’s dated. At the same time, it’s not dated though. The original was made when Big Room and Progressive House was at its peak popularity. The leads and synths production style in SFA are still used heavily in Future House music.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

For me (personally, not trying to discount your opinion) I really love it. At the end, the way she sings about hearing the sine at the very end and the audio of the rainy street before the bass ending signifies the sine that she heard in reference in the song.

I disagree, I think it's one of Gaga's best. The song totally paints an image in my head in a way no other song does, it's like I can see the song somehow? idk

Life has a hopeful undertone |-/
