by all means:

it's ok if you're deep down in the GP and haven't caught up with her best work which goes way beyond the puny definition of "a hit". but even the GP will admit she's been a lasting and iconic act.

go watch her Halftime Show and then we talk.

Gurl did u even read the thread :poot:

Alejandro (nuns were mad)

Stopped reading here. Imagine reducing one of the best music videos of all times (underrated and missunderstood) to nuns being mad.

I don't know why thread like these are even allowed in the name of joke, Tag it as funny not Opinion, because a slight of these negative "opinions" can lead to bombardment of WPs if it was done by us. Not everything is funny in the name of humor. :huntyga:

Bad Romance was definitely a hit and is also iconic because of the song itself, raa raa :bear:

Did I miss a joke or was this serious :air:

Oh it's definitely a joke, whether he was serious or not remains to be seen. :ally:

Who puts this much effort into justifying why someone isn't successful?

It doesn't matter how a hit was achieved, a hit is a hit. The large majority of people in English speaking countries know of Gaga, and know many of her songs

I'll be myself until they fƫcking close the coffin.

It’s a humor thread, just so you know.

The author wrote a dramatic irony about how Gaga have hits in every era (except for C2C :bear:). Proving her star power under the guise of ironically calling her flop :ally:

Though this type of concept may be foreign to other culture and thus some people may not be able to grasp the humor behind the thread and take offense. That’s okay and understandable.

i came across this kind of writing style during my high school  days when I joined a book lover club. Our adviser loves satirical write ups.

I didn’t necessarily liked my experience since I only read high fantasy romance novel though. My adviser asked if I know the author of Interview with a Vampire and I was like isn’t it Brad Pitt  :billie:

Let's be real for a second here. Apart from Bad Romance, Gaga managed to get a number of other so-called "hits" but none of them can actually hold up in court, because all of them can be explained by a series of lucky events. Let's see:

From The Fame:

Just Dance (reached #1 because of people just trying and see what it was)

Poker Face (reached #1 because people were giving Gaga the benefit of the doubt after her first singe failed)

LoveGame (the video was sexual)

Eh, Eh (we don't talk about it)

BDR (people just confused it with Poker Face)

Paparazzi (people were obsessed with paparazzi photos and found the song when searching for the term in Google, by chance)

From The Fame Monster:

Bad Romance - Gaga's only real hit

Telephone (people were itnerested in Beyoncé, not Gaga)

Alejandro (nuns were mad)

From Born This Way:

Born This Way (reached #1 thanks to upwards gravity)

Judas (people bought it out of spite for the real Judas)

The Edge of Glory (people thought she was Katy Perry here. I don't have proof but Im sure of it)

You and I (the GP just listened to it after Elton John mentioned it under the wrong title, then elft it because they were uninterested)

Marry the Night (didn't reach #-3)

From ARTPOP:

Applause (people were only listening to it because Katy Perry indirectly promoted it)

Do What U Want (this song doesn't even exist)

A-YO (people didn't even know its real title)

From Joanne:

Perfect Illusion (the GP was only interested because of the hype)

Million Reasons (only reached #4 because it was a good song)

G.U.Y. (not even a hit)

From ASIB:

Shallow (in times of COVID, the people found comfort in the audience sound effects)

ARUTW (too long to type, too cheesy to accomodate the GP's exclusive taste)

INLA (even longer tittiele than ARUTW)

From Chromatica:

Stupid Love (people were nostalgic of the Texas Rangers, but confused them with the Power Rangers)

Rain on Me (basically Ariana's solo single)

911 (the video was shockign)

I know this opinion is controversial but you all know deepd won that I'm right.

Ok but since when is A-YO from ARTPOP :yennefer:
