Really insane she and Twigs have no shot...I know Twigs' album is old and in sort of weird spot considering the timing (like ASIB I believe she had a single qualify for one Grammys and the album for another), but she's such a critical darling.

I mean, I don't think this is that much of a shock? I always thought Chromatica had the best shot at getting a Best Pop Album nod, Best Pop Duo, & Best Pop Solo. I believe for some weird reason it can't qualify for Best Dance Recording, but if it could it would have killed in that category.

That said, considering all the controversy around the Grammys I suspect a lot of folks aren't going to show up to perform.

*Also, what a joke it is that Post Malone is basically guaranteed an AOTY nod over Rina, Twigs, Gaga, etc.

well if she started recording 5 months after, that album probably wouldn't be done till a year after

I think if you are officially recording and part of a label, no matter where you record it all needs to be official, on the books and paying the people working on it with the labels money so I'm sure that's what would be stopping recordings

These are just the 4 general categories.

Gaga has never had luck there, so kind of expected she'd be left out of predictions tbh.

I feel like Post Malone is going to get snubbed. His album is kind of "old" at this point and has no awards ~narrative. The only ones who get nominated for older work in the general categories is Adele (and maybe that's it?)

She submitted for Dance (Dua did too). Hope she gets in as it's pointless when people like Calvin Harris get in when those types of DJs make mainstream pop radio singles and often get nominated in that category for it.

I cant at ppl whishing she doesnt get nominated bcoz she didnt promote that much. Are ppl forgeting that gaga is a hard working woman and jsut bcoz pandemic ruined her promo plans and she cojldnt bounce bck in promo doesnt mean she doesnt DESERVE the grammy noms. At the end CHROMATICA is the best album released this year. I dont understand such mean comments. If ppl are so bothered why not just entertain with other artist.. Saying she shuldnt get any nom as a lesson. Really? What has this site become? Gaga doesn‘t owe us anything just stop dragging her please. I’m so tired of reading these comments everywhere and I am honestly shocked people seem to be so easy-going with jumping to conclusions that are really disheartening to read. Just for the record, we know by fact they planned a detailled promotion schedule that took months in advance so it can get as LIT and be more than we could have ever imagined. Yes, it’s a pity and I completely understand it’s frustrating to see it not coming to fruition but please keep in mind, that we got screwed LAST-MINUTE by a pandemic. What happenend then? She made the decision to postpone promotion and instead focus on helping the world with her philantropic influence. Remember the event where she raised hundreds of millions of dollars and made headlines everywhere for hosting? Yeah, that is probably only a glimpse of what she has done since March. We have the worldwide BLM movement rise up with a cultural impact never seen before. On top of that her home country was nearly about to lose its democracy with the sitting most dangerous president in history of the US to be reelected. She joined forces, participated in Biden’s campaign, she took the risk of incredible damage to her name (if he lost) but did it nevertheless elped him becoming president-elect. Who other celebrity with such status had similar efforts? I hardly can name any. This year is really toughly marked by these extraordinary events and we don’t even know what is going on in her life. But she shared with us what her mental health struggles could look like. And she still gave us several iconic moments that are linked to Chromatica. We should rather be thankful we stan a lady that actually has the power to set priorities and activate her influence to help where help is due than drag her through the mud and accuse her for being lazy or not caring about her music etc. She is not sitting on her couch all day. The world is round people. You know better than that. Try and put your frustration into something positive than throwing it to her or her team and make this forum more toxic than it already is when you know she is indeed caring about Chromatica. If it weren‘t for her she wouldn‘t have named an album after it.
