Q1 was also revised up slightly meaning Canada actually avoided technical recession from Q4 of 2025 to Q1 of 2026 despite heavy criticism from the Conservatives before the final data was out Job growth has also rebounded strongly and unemployment has been falling from the peak. Despite trade concerns so far foreign investment into Canada has increased since Mark Carney took over.
