Flying car is now road legal in Europe

Many people can barely drive on the ground. Some people still clap when the plane lands. A minority of people refuse to follow safety protocols, whether they be in aviation, COVID-19 or otherwise. The last thing I’d trust people with is a flying car.

Also vehicles are used as weapons all the time. Unless we invent the kind of force fields we see in sci-if films to protect literally every building from those who would do us harm, I can’t see flying cars ever being a thing.

Also now that I’m thinking about it, the aviation industry is constantly being pushed back against by protestors/environmentalists. Any new roads/tunnels/bridges/traffic solutions are met with protests/objections. I think people with also take issue with yet more cars/emissions, whether they be in the sky or on the road.

This was rather long (and extra), I’m done now. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I feel like the biggest factor against flying car is that... we don't actually need them? I mean, the way things are going for flying cars, I think actual planes will be more advanced and popular faster than a flying car can be created.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I agree with you, I don't think there is a need for a vehicle that can fly and go on a road. Unless we find a way to have a car that can actually take off from the road, I think things like the flying taxi in Dubai are much more promising for the future of transportation.

The only advantage of a flying car is solving the crowded roads problem, but it solves that and creates a whole bunch of other problems :poot:
