A minority of people refuse to follow safety protocols, whether they be in aviation, COVID-19 or otherwise. The last thing I’d trust people with is a flying car. Also vehicles are used as weapons all the time. Unless we invent the kind of force fields we see in sci-if films to protect literally every building from those who would do us harm, I can’t see flying cars ever being a thing. Also now that I’m thinking about it, the aviation industry is constantly being pushed back against by protestors/environmentalists. Any new roads/tunnels/bridges/traffic solutions are met with protests/objections. I think people with also take issue with yet more cars/emissions, whether they be in the sky or on the road. This video simply means that the vehicle is approved on road. They are aiming for both flight and driving accreditation by 2022. This is a first step for flying car.
