That's the thing... we are not dealing with "the GOP" anymore; we are essentially dealing with the Trump Party. I was relieved when the PA House Speaker signaled that he wouldn't do this, but I guess only time will tell. There's already a massive push from conservative figures to do this:

I respectfully disagree. That may be the case for now, but the courts will get to decide that and I'm of the opinion that the more these platforms become the spaces where people gather and it becomes evermore the public square, that reasoning is going to change and the courts will see it as such.

Until then, of course the companies get to make those decisions. But I don't think that makes it right.

The internet is becoming necessary and integrated into our lives more and more. Eventually it will have to be nationalized as it will be considered a public utility.

There is literally no way that happens . You're either FOR private property or AGAINST it. You can't just exist in some neutral place in between lol that's not how it works.

usually I'm the one writing paragraphs that nobody reads but I agree, let's just enjoy the moment and keep discussions for the future of the party and the country for later. We're no longer going to be bombarded with politics 24/7 the next years, let's try to keep it that way and post memes instead

32 states +DC already bind their electors, but I'm not sure if GOP Legislatures can override this. What I'm reading is that the "process" was supposed to be announced on Election DAY, so I'm not sure if they can go back and send alternate slate of electors.

You realize that Biden is basically a Republican Lite running as a Democrat, right?

He's already eyeing GOP candidates for potential Cabinet positions. The GOP know this very well, and most likely will collaborate with him. We are not dealing with "the Trump Party", we're in all likelihood dealing with a party that's actually distancing itself from Trump, especially with his actions these past few days.
