I suppose an alternative point of view is that its crazy that so many Americans think that the Trump presidency has been good to them (or that it has indeed been good to them)...

As much as I agree with you on everything, why do you insist on being so dreadfully whiny since Tuesday? You had many a meltdown over how biden was going to lose, and then when he didn't you're complaining about the small win and criticizing us for being happy about it. How is it our fault that people voted for Trump? jesus

Because since Tuesday it has been clear that the Democratic strategy was a huge fail, and now Biden's cabinet is being approved by Mitch McConnell, and people are not seriously reflecting on the strategy or how to make gains in the future. The USA is in shambles, and pretending everything is fine will only lead us into another Trump type of era. People should be happy, I am happy. I hated Trump so much, but I hardly see what has transpired in the last few days to be a victory, the Dems managing to win by much too small of margins is honestly disheartening. Now Biden is saying he will unite the country, but I don't want to unite with QAnon and alt-right militia groups who are in support of Trump. Dems are feckless and need to start advocating for the interests of the people who elect them, and most of us have progressive policy positions and weren't inspired by the Biden platform or campaign but voted out of obligation and a terrible incumbent.

Of course I'm happy if Biden pulls this off! And I will celebrate to no end! That's an accomplishment.

But it shouldn't have been this close, and I'm not gonna sit back and pretend that it's rosey, that Dems did great, or that this election was a great success because at this rate nothing's gonna get done in a Biden administration with a Republican obstructionist Senate. :awkney:

Also take in count that a lot of uneducated people voted for trump because of their ignorance :huntyga:

They’re not criticizing you or anyone for being happy about Biden barely edging out a win here. We’re all happy about it.

They’re criticizing the fact that people in this thread are bending over backwards to try to pretend as if this was anything other than a disaster for the Democrats and that they should move even farther to the right in future elections. We shouldn’t be satisfied with this. If we don’t acknowledge that Biden’s entire strategy collapsed and push them to abandon it in the future, they’ll keep doing it over and over again until climate change kills us all.

As I already stated I agree with everything you stand for, it's of course true. I specifically quoted "the fact that people are happy about this" because like, I'm sure people can take a small breath of relief for the small win. It is important that the sistren don't just turn away and go to brunch as if all is well, but my point was just that relentless negativity is tiresome. Also i didn't put the comment in the context of the previous discussion yall were having with the centrists

It will be done when it is done. The next one which may give GA to Biden might come soon.

Here’s how it looks:

Keep in mind, a lot of already counted ballots haven’t been uploaded to the website yet, so don’t worry if the number left is small.

EDIT: 92,027 votes for Biden in this county. We only need what, 470 more.

THIS is exactly why Democrats need to be stronger and go on the offense when it comes to their positions on things. :fail:

It's the reason why Trump and Republicans keep winning on the economy eventhough Dems are actually better for the working class.

But you wouldn't ever know it because they're never saying it or fighting for it..
