I know, but NV hasn't been called so it doesn't count yet. Nothing will until they're called, meaning Biden isn't the winner until enough states have actually been called.

The fact that people are happy with this likely small win after an eviction crisis, economic collapse, botched pandemic response and Trump basically being the most incompetent person to ever lead the country. We have a very small, but legitimate chance that Trump stays in the White House for four more years.

Even if it flips, it's not gonna be called for him. Too close.

So it won't go into his Electoral Vote count total until it is called. Meaning we need another state basically.

Yeah, sure, if Biden gets GA by 2,500 votes, it will be a recount and there will be lawsuits, but 2,500 is enough of a cushion that we’ll still have it after a recount (+/- 500 at most), and we will ultimately get all of GA’s electors.

It’s only Trump and his cultists who want Trump to win without having the votes to win. Mainstream Republicans know how it will go if we invalidate votes made in good faith: We will become a fascist dictatorship. That is the last thing most Republicans in power wants, so even ruby red judges are not going to retroactively invalidate votes.

More propaganda. The polling was off in Florida yes, but was not far off everywhere is. There is always a regular margin of error.

It’s unhealthy to keep holding onto 2016 like this.

You can't just call anything you don't agree with "propaganda" sweetie

As much as I agree with you on everything, why do you insist on being so dreadfully whiny since Tuesday? You had many a meltdown over how biden was going to lose, and then when he didn't you're complaining about the small win and criticizing us for being happy about it. How is it our fault that people voted for Trump? jesus

Absolutely and I don’t even like Kamala the Cop and I found Pete to be like a mayonnaise sandwich (until his recent Foxnews appearances).

But I don’t want to be right, I want to win.

Exactly. I am German, and I actually love what Merkel does for our country. Voted twice for her. So it baffles me to think, that Merkel (basically the most centrist someone in Germany or Europe for that matter could be) is basically far left winged in the US. Merkel would give the „socialists“ AOC & Biden a run for their money.

But the US is NOT Germany. So these two are the best choices. But can we just keep in mind that they would have still lost to Trump in 2020? This was NOT their time. It is extremely hard to challenge a sitting president and actually win. Almost impossible, because you have to run against both his supporters AND the people who are okay with the way it is. Plus Trump is a populist using the right wing of society. So it would be extremely hard to have a gay man or a woman who‘s also a poc run against him while he is in power, because it‘s so easy for this to get personal, and to get them.

We tend to forget that Trump was already fearing Biden and trying to get dirt on him before he announced his run. We should trust Trump that one time on who he thinks would be his biggest threat. Anyone but Biden would have maybe given Trump a landslide.

Right. Like how embarassing that Dems just barely won against Trump after this year and everything else of the last 4 years.

It should have been a blown out for them, and yet Dems did what they do best which is blow every opportunity they get due to their weak, feckless, failed messaging and leadership.

It's devastating for those of us who truly care about these things instead of those who just virtue signal on every issue.

They’re not criticizing you or anyone for being happy about Biden barely edging out a win here. We’re all happy about it.

They’re criticizing the fact that people in this thread are bending over backwards to try to pretend as if this was anything other than a disaster for the Democrats and that they should move even farther to the right in future elections. We shouldn’t be satisfied with this. If we don’t acknowledge that Biden’s entire strategy collapsed and push them to abandon it in the future, they’ll keep doing it over and over again until climate change kills us all.

Of course I'm happy if Biden pulls this off! And I will celebrate to no end! That's an accomplishment.

But it shouldn't have been this close, and I'm not gonna sit back and pretend that it's rosey, that Dems did great, or that this election was a great success because at this rate nothing's gonna get done in a Biden administration with a Republican obstructionist Senate. :awkney:
