But like france etc they just try to slowly impose stricter rules to not cause an uproar. Ive been to the nearest covid hospital and its already at breaking point but i think such measures will only seat straight with public when the facts are so horrible. Which should be other way around. Democracy really has failed miserably. The way western countries are dealing with this makes for more debt, more social problems Ofc it works in part, peiople tend to stay at home more. I agree tbh even tho it's an unpopular opinion For democracy to work better the population would need to be more mature and wise about who they vote for, what they demand and how they are swayed Ultimately the population has an impact on what governments do not only because of who they elect but also because to some extent or another governments pamper to groups of people's wants in order to get elected Most ppl do not understand enough about society and economy to demand the right things. The result is an unsustainable fragile system full of problems and constant political uncertainty to add to the cherry on top Full Democracy at least to the degree we have it doesn't work in other institutions like companies or organizations. Not sure why it would ever be any different and work in Nations
Randomperson 1,272
There’s no point in this if they won’t close schools/unis. My school has had lots of cases and it’s spreading quickly. The method they’re using to try stop it is completely useless and causing it to spread even more

Especially for kids. And first lockdown had a grave fault which was some parents that still were working had no one to which leave the kids to. If the school measures temperature or bettr does the test to everyone and the municipes have x bus available to the schools with monitored drivers that pick the kids. I mean its possible. Costs money but possible
