Let's be honest whether on YouTube, Instagram or Twitter people follow/subscribe so many ppl they start to forget the list of ppl they follow and most don't bother to clean out or unfollow ppl they no longer care about Secondly u don't have to be a hard stan to follow. Simply "liking" someone may prompt u to press "follow" but it's doesn't say much about a real devoted fan base So it's a poor measure of popularity.
