They’re not the only ones making one... but they’re one of the biggest American ventures... there’s now 3 left. Science takes time yall... altho this kinda worries me um

If I remember correctly wasn't the J&J vaccine also causing major immune responses in some of the participants? This is what worries me about trying to push a vaccine through by the end of the year.

With the luck we have in 2020, a zombie plague will be created as a side effect of one of these trials. :messga:

Kind of sensationalist headline, because - as it is stated in the post - this is normal in such studies and also, since when do we trust in anything coming from America anyway?

A friend of mine who works for my state’s health department says that any successful vaccine will likely require a booster every 3 months. Do you really think Trump supporters are gonna go get a vaccine every 3 months? This virus isn’t going away anytime soon unfortunately :bear:

I mean this is pretty normal on vaccine trials, some people have even died from them, but that's science, you study, experiment and fail until it works.

They can't wear masks when instructed so I fear they won't get shots either. I feel like they're pushing so hard for a vaccine because it will help Trump get re-elected if there is one, regardless if it's working or not.

This^^^ because the antibodies currently only seem to last in the body for 3 months, unless there is a new breakthrough in making them last longer then its going to be a short term vaccine :selena: which is also why some people are starting to contract it twice.

I just think covid19 is gonna be a part of human civilisation just like the common cold. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what the governments want, surely they need to start controlling population growth.

This is minor.

‘I expect this to end up like the flu vaccine (wouldn’t be surprised if they put it into the flu vaccine in a couple years), it will have a limited length of effect, it won’t make you immune - just lower your chances of catching it, and make it less severe if you do (just like flu vaccines)

and it will be enough (along with virus mutation) for it to become a non issue very quickly. (And therapeutics will help those who do get sicker)

guarantee it
