All jokes from my previous thread about this aside, do you think Chromatica is Gaga’s best album or not and why? Just explain it instead of all the shade and let’s try to keep it civil. I’m here to defend it, and say yes. The reason for it is because all the songs on it are timeless. Also the overall vibe of the album and the whole ‘dancing trough the pain’ concept is amazing.

So GGD, is it?:oprah:

I think it's her most cohesive, more thought out with the interludes, etc. So yes tbh

But ARTPOP imo is the most enjoyable and TFM is neck to neck with Chromatica

BTW has too much filler to compete but it has a lot of high highs

Sonically I think so. However, BTW is just so special and Chromatica is still very new so I have to let it age before it can be her best.

It's definitely up there but "objectively" speaking The Fame Monster has yet to be topped. It's her best album if we look at it from every perspective. I would've said Born This Way is her best album but it has too many fillers and Chromatica is neck to neck with Born This Way but for different points. All 3 of them can be considered her best for their own specific reasons tho.

Best is always subjective. I think it has her best pop vocals and personal lyrics. But then I also think TFM has her best infectiously catchy songs with some bite. Chromatica is tied with TFM as my faves.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

This! Somehow Chromatica made me feel like BTW is her best even though I thought ARTPOP was her best pre-Chromatica. Chromatica awakened something in me. But yeah I need time in the same way it took me so long to make BTW my number 1. I think it very much could be/is on part with BTW.

I think it would be number one if it weren't for some weirdness going on in some songs (Alice lyrics feel incomplete, Fun Tonight's lack of first chorus, the Free Woman instrumental, something about SFA album version seems off to me). If those small things were different I would definitely say so, I love it and it feels very well rounded, it's a high quality pop album.

Edit: Chromatica is my fav album, but objectively I think TFM is a better album as the songs feel more complete, but it is a shorter album which is another discussion.

It absolutely is. It's the most cohesive, there are no duds or fillers, no cringe moments. Everything is there for a reason. Best lyrics, best production. Born This Way has the best songs in her career but it also has the worst ones.

Smother Em Eh

Not her best but definitely one of her best. TFM & BTW>>>

Her holy trinity

1. TFM 2. BTW 3. Chromatica

It's very good but it's also very safe.

Born This Way takes the cake for me as a whole. But sonically... I can listen to Chromatica from start to finish, over and over again. It truly is an amazing album (except for Plastic Dull which I regularly skip if I realize it's on).
