Mister G 10,512
That’s terrifying to think about how this virus literally is so random no one can truly tell what effects it’ll have on anyone who contracts it...
SharkmanthaC 115,044
This happened at the college I went to (twice). I mean I went to college at Appalachian in Boone, not that it also happened at my college. It’s so sad. I still don’t understand why some universities have opened dorms and such. she/her/hers

This an open discussion and I present data from World Health Organization and post articles from NYT, BBC and other reputable media and still the problem is at me? I am all for saving people. Who isnt? But who is saving those people who are the cost of all this? Yet, I am somehow " the bad guy" in this discussion, who btw I would probably have ignored if people didnt tagged me. Not trying to paint you as the bad guy, just trying to understand your motivations. Do you think people like me like lockdown or stay at homes orders? I hate it when the government steps in to micromanage our actions especially when it puts our jobs and economy at risk, even with these mask wearing mandates. Yet here I am social distancing and wearing a mask because I don't want be part of a reason for someone getting infected with dire consequences. I try to remember other people, who could be me or anyone I care about, are suffering. My parents have already passed on, so I'm not too worried about my family. However, there are other people to think about and there is a chance young, healthy people could fall prey to isolated cases like the one presented in this thread. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

I basically got in so many problems regarding this subject on this forum and been name called in so many ways that I cant take anymore half truths and misinformation. That's why I always try to present my point of view with data and good sources. The idea that by presenting the truth, aka the available data on risks for young people or certain effects of lockdowns, I dont care about certain deaths or I'm asking for a full reopening all over the world is false. I certainly would have prefer not to have this conversation in this particular thread, because someone has died, but it's not my fault that some people tagged or mentioned me. I understand that covid discussions are controversial, but as long as they permitted, I find it very hard to understand why should I justify the fact that I present easily to verify data.
