In opposition, places like Japan, Taiwan, Sweden didnt need a lockdown to keep covid under control.

Italy was the country the most hit by the virus, Europe in General and now the US, south america and India. If Italy which is the best example decided to not do a lockdown and be very strict about it how many graves would they dig? How many people you think died? In Lombardy more than 3k people died. Go ahead and reply with "everyone dies" "its very low". That's an asshole move. more than 3K+ beloved people died, graves dug in New York, hospitals shut down, doctors who are so overwhelmed with how many people come, not enough machines to keep people breathing. They had to choose between an old person and a young person, they'd pick the young. That's how it was in March if you forgot. Not every country was hit the same but what you are saying is laughable, it's just laughable. You are a clown if you think lockdown didn't help certain countries to control the contagions. Laughable, just laughable

So 90 people died and that's evidence for you?

How many people 18 to 34 died at the same time of non covid issues? I'm gonna tell u. More than 90.

How many of these 90 people had hard comorbidites? All of them?

As I've told u.from almost 50k students in US, under 5 were hospitalized. None died.

Yes that my evidence. That's my data. Where's yours???? The thing about data is that it doesn't exist in a vaccuum. Context is everything.

50k students? where? when? How many were told to stay home with their severe symptoms and only told to come in if ventilators (the last resort) were deemed necessary? Oh none of them died? Great! How many still feel like they havent recovered at all? Now are dealing with long term ailments and deficiencies because of the virus? And oh just 50k students? Just these students we're talking about?-- well who did they infect when they got home, what are the stats and conditions of all teachers, school aides, drivers, parents, siblings they exposed?

Everyone likes to play the data and denial game until it happens to them. It pisses me off.

Lockdown or social distancing restrictions work because whenever restrictions were lifted, infections spiked. I

Lockdown in conjunction with other measures help stave off the virus. Unfortunately, the U.S. is full of selfish narcissists that refuse to see that they are part of the equation.

And stop comparing different countries and cultures. The U.S. is not the same as Sweden or Japan or NZ!

"Hey kids, let's lock away the entire population for a virus that doednt affect kids and healthy people under 60"

New studies are finding that as many as 1 in 5 young adults are making full recoveries yet from COVID in a timely manner (under three weeks). As many as 1 in 3 people overall aren't recovering from this within 3 weeks. Death is not the only way COVID affects you. Many young people are reporting "brain fog" months later. Research is showing that COVID does have the capability to attack the brain (to what extent they don't know). It very well could affect healthy people very little... however we don't have enough scientific evidence to say this or not yet. We could be shooting ourselves in the foot and not even knowing it.

Of course the owner of a huge company would say sh!t like that. He thrives on capitalism and making money with 0 regards to his workers or the general population. Why would he care now? He acts like he's on such a moral high ground when in reality he's as trash as every single other capitalist in history. I don't  even know why people expect anything better from him anymore tbh.

And of course the same user(s) are jumping to his defense again :huntyga:

Also, not vaccinating is literally idiotic because 1. he's not safe from the virus as it has been proven that it also affects healthy people (even if the risk isn't as high but still) and may have long lasting effects even after recovery and 2. it's selfish and inconsiderate for others who either don't have access to the virus or can't take it for some reason or other. In conclusion, he's a piece of crap.

Its laughable how for people like you, lockdowns worked and didnt work at the same time.

Italy had so many deaths because they didnt lockdowned and yet they lockdowned and continued to have the deaths. :selena:

I also cant handle this false morality. You care about "people dying" from covid, but ignore the costs of lockdowns aka future deaths from hunger ( or we shouldnt care because most of these wont happen in US and Europe?), undetected illnesses, mental health. I'm not gonna even go into economic effects.

But hey, let's pretend that deaths from covid matter more than other types of deaths and let's ignore all the data that show us who is at risks and who isnt and make the same rules for all people.

Again, this is misinformation at best. All illnesses have effects on your body, even the flu, so this isnt unusual in any way.

I also find these "studies" not credible. They dont make any sense, considering that most studies say that 50-90% of people are asymptomatic. How can 90% be asymptomatic and yet only 1 in 5 young adults make recoveries in under 3 weeks? :triggered:

Not The Real Gaga

I kinda agree with him. There are only 1 million reported deaths so far worldwide (since December last year). Yes, measures on social distancing, hygiene and crowd control are absolutely necessary, but (total) lockdowns will affect society a lot on the long term. Think of less economic growth, less welfare, regular medical operations and treatment (even for cancer) that got postponed... Lockdowns damage the whole system and will lead to more problems eventually.
